new england is a BIG place son plenty of room for more than one club... plus this really is'nt a "club" thing more of a come on down and run your junk...informal and hopefully fun plus if there are any newbies in the area that would like to come down and hang out and ask questions (or maybe answer some)

That's true, it is a big place, adn they're is more that one club (CTRCRC). I'm sorry if I offended, but I jsut think it would be better to have one club that covers the entire area, than 2 or 3 per state.

Wonderful, you should go check out whatever is going on here. I'll be working. There is no need to get into all the details again about more than 1 organization in 1 area. That got beat to death in a thread here when the ctrockcrawlers were getting started.

I'm willing to bet that the name thing turns out to be no big deal. Missouri seems far enough away from Massachusetts that there shouldn't be too much confusion.

Plus, people lack originality all the time:

people want to crawl locally every week or every other week. we dont want to travel 2 - 3 hours every month to crawl. hince ct rock crawlers and CMRCRC. nercc is not a mass club, its a new england club, while you guys enjoy traveling all over, most of us like to crawl a little more locally, as stated in a previous thread about this, im sure most of these clubs will be more inclined to travel for a big competition.

as for the event, i may be able to attend, ill be up in north hampton mass anyway so i think i may be able to swing down for a hour or 2. that is unless i lose big at the casino.

Oh, come on now Matt. Some people actually do see what is going on here. This is hardly the place for it. So, are you coming to any NERCC crawls? Heck, I could meet you in Danbury again, I would like to have another try at that one rock that I had trouble with at that place.

Oh, come on now Matt. Some people actually do see what is going on here. This is hardly the place for it.I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. What's going on here?

So, are you coming to any NERCC crawls? When I can, I will. I travel a lot for work, so it's not easy for me to go on road trips and give up a good part of my weekend. I personally rather crawl for three or four hours a few times a month than make one big trip once a month.

Heck, I could meet you in Danbury again, I would like to have another try at that one rock that I had trouble with at that place.
You and everyone else is more than welcome to come on out. I hit Tarrywile a lot since I pass by it on my way home from work. You might also like Lovers' Leap. Neither of these places is like Lincoln Woods, but they're fun and have plenty of challenging spots.

I think it's just a common courtesy NOT to use a pre existing clubs call letters.

That's just my opinion.

CMRCRC - CENTRAL MISSOURI RC ROCK CRAWLERS

MattH
08-22-2006, 02:45 PM
I share the same opinion. I think in this case, however it was clearly unintentional. I also think, in the grand scheme of things, that it's really not that big of a deal.

I'm sure it was done unitentionally.

Maybe CMRCC (Central Mass. RC Crawlers) or something similar could be substituted?

ah...ok didnt realize that we were going to have a giant storm over a little get together...so it's cancelled of course i will still be there tommorow since it's about a mile from my house. as for CMRCRC it exsists no more sorry to the central missouri guys I got into the hobby tp have fun and arguing over club names and how many clubs can be in one geographical area just is'nt any fun I think I'd rather beat my rig on the rocks....

JohnRobHolmes
08-25-2006, 02:59 PM
I in no way meant to cause an argument over club names, I just wanted to point out the fact that the abbreviation was being used for another club so there would be no confusion when "cmrcrc crawl" came up.

Go bash that rig, that is what it is all about man.

this was posted on nercc's forum... ".Steve, it's no biggie. It's been around maybe 6 months? I think the guy that created it is the only "member" also. Just another guy who's head is too big to let him fit into another group, so he made his own. Joe and I were talking about it a while back." wtf does that mean "just another guy who's head is too big to let him fit into another group so he made his own..... I don't remember being asked to join the almighty nercc and with that kind of attitude I woul'dnt want to it's like I'm not allowed to get a few of my freinds together to go crawl in our area and to ask if anyone and I mean anyone would like to join us...I live in massachusetts and there's not a lot of stuff posted around about crawls in my area i did'nt attack the nercc and don't quite understand why they feel the need to attack me and by the way there is more than one member to our club. and most importantly of all WHY DO YOU CARE ?????? this is why :?:i got out of r/c racing because of the snobbery and the attitude. this is why people new to the hobby never come to gtg's or comps or are afraid to post questions because some people have crappy attitudes THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOBBY

I hear ya, man. Unfortunately, you're right on the money. I'd keep promoting your club, though. New England needs more clubs, in my opinion. I'll make to one of your crawls sooner or later and I'm sure other members of CT Rock Crawlers will too. I think you'll like the group if you come down to one of our GTGs.

I too wasn't trying to start an argument. Very sorry if I came off that way. I just wanted to point out the CMRCRC tag was already in use.

Keep your club going, we have 3 (that I'm aware of) here in Missouri.

I only suggested that the name be altered a bit.

Crawl on and have fun! That IS what it's all about!

I don't remember being asked to join the almighty nercc
We never ask anyone to become a member, we only ask that people show up to go crawling. that is all we ever expect from people. There is no big induction ceremony or monthly fees. We dont email everyone in the NE are telling them that if they dont join they can't crawl.

THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOBBY Precisly, why are you getting so pissed? I would come to this crawl if i didn't already have plans. I dont really care that you started your own club. It just would've been nice if you had checked out NERCC first. For all I know, you did check us out, didn't like what you saw, and decided to start a club. That's fine. I don't care. Now if you please, can we stop this online bickering? Argueing on the internet is like racing a Honda. Even if you win, you'r still retarted.

You were at LW? Was that at the last official crawl? I think the reason no one said hello or anything is becuase we had no idea who you were. You should've said something, then we could have communicated better. Oh well, maybe next time.

Peej, you're right. This is funny. SO y'all were the guys at LincolnWoods that didn't say anything to anybody? Yep, I thought there was 2 wierdos following us around and not talking to anybody. Now I know why you were there; just to remain unidentified and listen in to see if anybody badmouthed anybody. And this is suposed to be a hobby?????????? I hope you heard what you wanted to hear.

That quote is from me, and I already laid claim to it when I asked Matt why he didn't credit it to me. So next time it gets used, atleast put my name to it. Obviously, people have thier own agends here. You don't need to be asked to join anything, and it's clear that you did not/do not want to, so why the big deal? You had your own thing going quite some time ago (before any of this started).

There was another guy that showed up without a crawler, he is S-Dog's friend. Atleast he had the decency to introduce himself. But then again, he really was there to just watch and see what this crawling thing is about, not to be a fly on the wall. Heck, even total strangers that just want to see what those trucks are doing on the rocks will stop to talk. So yes, it is a 50/50 thing. 50 percent you not saying a word, and 50 percent me not talking to you because you didn't say a word and followed us around like wierdos that were in the way. What kind of treatment do you expect when you just sit there and talk amongst yourselves?????? You were keeping eachother entertained just fine, who am I to bother you by talking to you?

I'll take my crappy attitude and keep it. It takes one to know one. Anybody else who wants to show up and not say a word is welcome to do so. Or maybe you'll show up and introduce yourself to talk things out if you really want to just get along and crawl. I've gone out to meet the ctcrawler guys twice already, although the next time seems long overdue for a good talk. Anybody else want to talk this out in person? Maybe we can CRAWL when we're done? Peej, pick yourself up off the floor and stop laughing :)

allright enough of this and by the way we did introduce ourselves i just didn't bother to put that in the post in hopes of getting this over with but whatever....... I was aplogizing there towards the end in case you missed it (still racing that honda I guess)

Wow, I thought this was over. In my opinion, it never should have happened in the first place, and the whole thing is pretty immature and makes us all look bad.

pvtjrt01550, it's clear that all of this has frustrated you and I can't say I blame you, but for what it's worth, I'd try to let it go. It would be a shame to stop your efforts with the club and even worse to stop crawling because of this. Keep in touch, and maybe we can meet at that full-size Jeep rally.
