Destroyer and I got together Jan 2 for a little crawling.

Possible spot for a competition this spring.

This picture was shot standing in a the campground. The dam continues about a 1/2 mile further, and about a 1/4 mile back the other direction.

Most of the dam is to tough for RC's, but there is plenty of places :D

More pictures coming

Same view as 1st picture with me crawling off the beach up the dam wall.

Not as steep as it looked in the 1st picture

Noticed I Photoshoped X into the first (2) photos. They mark the same rock 8O

That spot looks like it could be alot of fun.

Now that I think about it, there is a place very similiar to that on Alatoona I think. My Weekends have been booked up alot recently , but I will try to get some pics soon.

Kevin, I took the clod to Colorado............If you would have been there you would have seen it :flipoff:

Yes it is........... It was easy & cheap 8O

I think its better than the driver allows to be :?

A little carnage from the dam

That was definately a fun spot to crawl. Ranged from massive boulders to small "scale" size rocks. We had some good carnage  Would be a nice place to do a camp n' crawl.

On a side note: Killer-are you organizing SFR3 or someone else?

yeh, yeh, we all wish we could go to every event! :flipoff: I wish i could have made it. But i guess no one has an excuse when talking to you. you're the only nut around that's flown across the country to attend a comp.

i've heard dirk has the same problem, "I think its better than the driver allows to be :? "

Hey fish, I am in B'ham Alabama. Maybe next time you guys get together on the weekend I can meet up with you. I finally got to do some crawling with the other guys in Guntersville at bucks pocket.

are you guys getting together again any time soon? and is this a competition or just for fun? I'm going out to stone mountain very soon to see if I can find a good spot to crawl that the park rangers won't get too pissy about...I'll take the video camera to show what I found. I'm looking to find an area that GA crawlers can meet mabey once a month or so to get together and shoot the sh*t mabey do a little crawling. not really a sanctioned competition but more of a crawling get together. and stone mountain would be sweet as there is a cookout area and stuff right there.

Been to Stone Mtn............finding a spot that the rangers don't get pissy about and/or isn't a hike are the issues. There are some cool spots for some trail rides.
Also it costs about $8 to get into STN MTN.

I have a season's pass to STN MTN good through JUNE, just let me know when!

Buford Dam has for more diverse terrian in a smaller area. It has lots of pinic area close to the action! You can see the pinic table and grill in the picture of the first post!

Either one is good.

Yeah, Stone Mountain is a little sensative to crawlers. A few folks from CT got together and asked permission and they said that our little RC crawlers would disrupt their plant growth on the moutain.... i am not sure if they totally realized that we were talkign about LITTLE RC trucks or not but they said NO way....

No Buford Dam would be a cool place and it's close to me. :)
I also found a cool place for crawlin in Auburn, GA on the side of Hwy 8 or 29 depending upon what you want to call that road now days.
There is a small Railroad building on the side of the tracks where they used a ton of large River rocks to face the side of a LARGE hill to prevent erotion. It looks like it would be perfect because of the nice rocks and the hill as well, but it has limited parking unless you parked all on the side of the road and I amd not sure if they would like us there or not I haven't actually been there to crawl yet.

Come to think of it, I haven't been any where to crawl yet. I been meaning to do that.
