One of the best things about holding an event like this is that we bring people from all across the country together to see eachothers new ideas.
We all know Dirk will be bringing something new, revolutionary, and that will change the crawling world forever. Is anyone else bringing something new and different? Anyone else thinking outside the box?
Even though I am not competing I am bringing a new crawler with me, I am trying several new ideas with the truck, one of those ideas is using a single 1/4 scale servo to steer both axles;-)
My new truck will be called Dirkzilla it's almost finished now, no pics till Moab...

Yea that truck was cool as hell several years ago, the update should be sweet.
Is anyone else bringing something new and different?
Nope! I'll be kicking a$$ with last years technology! :flipoff:
I'm anxious to see Ace's creation also..... that rig is saturated with coolness!8)

I'm bringin lots of innovative ideas.......all thought of and used by other people already though.
Axshully I'll be putting my new hi-steer/BTA arm to the test on the Super. I've only used it on the 2.2 before.

Yup. It worked great on the 2.2, time for durability testing on the super.

Reminds me of the lyrics from an old country song "we don't mind original material as long as it's been done before".

...so many ideas, so little time :? Im actually with CSR, running proven equipment. Just a couple little tweaks ;-)
Mine will be the most innovative truck to point out every course!
Not sure of the wisdom to bring a truck I've hardly driven to the comp. Oh well, it is what I like so it makes me happy.

I'll Be running the Final Beta/Prototype of the new J2TT (Jefferson 2) in the 2.2 class. ;-)
I'll will also probably be bringing Kaetwo's personal K2-3L Scale rig if anyone cares to take a close look at it. Pretty Sweet! But do it before I break and axle or something on my rig and steal parts from his.

O h I forgot, I also got some shiny new body clips.
jason

Shiny new body clips have nothing on DirkZilla.
DirkZilla will be the most innovative crawler at the Nationals, mark my words. In the little testing I have done with DirkZilla I am amazed, it can do things that I have never been able to do with any of my other rigs.

No pictures will be shown before the event, even though I am not competing I don't want people to copy my ideas.
This thing is so simple, I can't believe no one else has built anything like it before.
I works so well, I almost feel bad using it to setup the courses, it's almost unfair.

Well, DirkZilla is finished, just drove it around the backyard. The steering doesn't work the greatest, but it'll still destroy anything the comes near it.

I dunno man, If a bunch of DirkZilla's got out it would be like a revolution. The crawling world would never be the same.
I'm also afraid that once everyone catches onto the way I built this rig we'll have to find all new crawling spots, nothing on my course is even challenging for DirkZilla
