At the last minute I installed CVDs front and rear on my Clod crawler. Simple enough, but I do not have the proper bolts to attach my Pro-Line wheels. As I'm sure everyone else does, I use Thunder Tech wideners, and the included bolts that Thunder Tech/MIP uses for the CVDs aren't nearly long enough. Anyway, this puts me DOA unless someone has an extra set that they can bring to the Nats for me. All in all, it's no big deal as my main goal is to cover the event. If someone has an extra set, please let me know if you can hook me up. If I don't hear back in a few, I'll save myself the hassle and not pack the crawler. Peace and see you all in Moab.

hey matt,
i had the exact same problem. i was able to find longer bolts at my local hardware store. if you have time before you leave for moab, try to buy some. if you can't find any, i have extras and i will bring them with me.

Many thanks in advance! I will not have time to hunt them down; I have to jump on a plane at 7AM Thursday morning.

matt, just to double check. did your cvd's come with silver or black bolts? i know that the silver are SAE thread, black are 5mm metric. either way i have you covered.

Mine came with silver bolts stamped "EMP" on the head.

got you covered! they have a socket(allen)head, but they are longer and the same thread.

Nice! Oh, and thanks again! Hopefully everything works and my crawler will be a go. Lesson learned: I never should have screwed with it!

dont you love it when crap happens 2 days before the nationals? mines pretty much dead in the water. I posted up in electronics to see if anyone has an idea of why its doing what its doing. If i make it, i have an entire box of screws for mounting rims to CVDS and a bolt cutter to customer lenght it.. so if i can get my crap figured out... i'll have extra for everyone.
