Hard body Painting Help Needed

I've got a Bruiser bod I'm painting and not sure on finishing painting steps. I've done the primer and main color but can't find the info I need to finish. I want a good hi luster job. I done some research but nothing comes up specific to what I need to know.

I've almost got my main color done and it's pretty smooth except for a few hi spots and dust particles I need to touch up. I read about waxing but after the clearcoat but I need to know should I wet sand the entire body with a fine grit before clearcoating it or if it's in good shape now (before sanding) to go ahead and lay the clearcoat? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Go ahead and lightly sand the spots that need to be fixed and clearcoat it. With many coats. Then if needed wet sand it and buff it with a buffing compond NOT WAX...After you buff it out go iver it with a good wax if you need more of a shine. You don't wet sand before clearcoat. Wet sanding is to give the clearcoat a nice smooth finish. What color did you paint it? The darker the color the better the reflection. If it's white I wouldn't waste my time on the wet sanding a buffing. But if you painted it black or a dark color go ahead and do those steps. Makes sure you use a very very fine grit sand paper. Microgoat as a good clearcoat he usese. Check is Vendor thread on it. Hope that helps.

Future floor polish for hard, non-yellowing clear coat if desired. People walk on this stuff.

I was using those 2 on the color but was gonna go higher for the clear.

I'd try to find a 2000 grit for wet sanding. You'll be less likey to go through the color. It'll look dull until the clear is sprayed.

I wouldn't bother wet sanding intill the clear is on. Unless you got runs in the color. If you have no runs in the color DON'T WET SAND IT. Now after you put several coats of clear on it. Then if you think you need to wet sand it then. But be very carefull doing so. You just want to smooth things up. So do it very lightly. Then use a buffing compond to shine her up. A good wax to use is stuff called Liquid Glass. Most Auto stores should have it. Great stuff.

sodium silicate liquid glass or a wax named that? i know tht sodium silicate works for sealing head gaskets.

For polishing it out,I'd use a polishing kit for models.They have sandpaper going up to 12,000 grit.Most come with a polishing compound also.
