We have finally upgraded our main website:

http://www.rc4wdstore.com (http://www.rc4wdstore.com/)

We had the old website and server since 2004. Now we finally upgraded to a more powerful server and we redid our entire interface as well.

The old server had a lots of problem before, it was over loaded many times through out the year. The new server can handle much more traffic and store even more data.

Just give you guys some stats:

We had about 6 million page views on our main site rc4wd.com since June 2004. We had over 18 million image views/download since that same period of time. To avoid traffic problem, we installed a dedicated server for just images in early 2006.

We have a total of 42,515 files on our old main server.

Threre are over 2500 product related pictures stored on our image server.

How did Rc4wd looks like when it was first started, you can check out the original website at www.rc4wd.com/indexBackup.html

We will keep the old server and data for the next few months, then we will turn it off and backup all datas to our new server.

Looks good, only thing is that on some of the product pages there are over lapping letters in the product facts.

We saw that too, the font size on our old site and new site is not quick compatible, we will fix them as we update all product discription.

Maybe you could put a "Coming Soon Items" In there

We thought about that, the problem is that some customer might end up buying it.

We need a special script to do something like that, where people can see the release date, but can't purchase it.

We will look into it...

The new site is much faster, now I can finally browse through what you sell.

I also like the new look, will you be moving that onto the old rc4wd domain after all current orders are handled?

rc4wd.com is still on the old server. We probably going to keep it at least for another 3-4 month. Just in case somebody contact us.

After that we will move rc4wd.com to the new server, then make rc4wdstore a forward back to rc4wd.com.

But order # wont have any changes anymore and customer will still be able to see their previous order on the new site.

Mike,
Our old logins don't work on the new website? I just want to make sure. I don't want to create two accounts.

Old log in dont work on new site.

Eventually we will move again, to rc4wd.com on new server, but then you wont have to register again.
