I started with $10 of 3/8th tubing
$5 emaxx shocks
$10 worth of 4mm aluminum
$72 clod axles
$20 worth of ball ends/ 4-40 bolts and nuts
$30 HitecBB 1/4 scale servo (130 oz/in.)
$9 550 motors(well they were my own motors)

I had a lot of trouble cutting through the 4mm aluminum and broke or wore down 5 or 6 cutting blades without even completing one side plate. I ended up getting a really good deal on the bay of e for some TXT chassis plates. I only had to drill 2 holes to get the big servo on the Thundertech mounting plate($20).

Free mods included locking both diffs and shaving off the steering blocks

The truck seems to work pretty well, although this is my first crawler so I don't have anything to compare it to.

I like it! :D I have often wondered why more people dont use the TXT chassis as a quick easy way to improve the clod. I cant wait to see it in action. Love that old school lookin' Parma Blazer body too. :D

Yeah, I liked the Blazer's offroad look, and the body was different than others I had seen.

It was pretty easy to fab up the TXT/clod crawler..really minimal design on my part was required.

I just put up a vid of it in action in the video forum.
I named her 'Diaper Striper' for the skid marks her freshly cut tires leave on everything(PITA to clean off too :flipoff: )
