looks nice might want to lower the battery for a lower cog.

i think you should raise your cog to 4 1/4 to 4 1/2

i think you should raise your cog to 4 1/4 to 4 1/2

Do you mean increase the underbelly clearance? COG is center of gravity.

Raising your belly clearence would be good. Mine sits right at 5" and I drag the hell out of mine. Coarse thats probly not helped much by my 18" wheelbase.

Thanks for all the replies. I realize how low it is; I designed it for a low cog at the sacrifice of everything else, such as ground clearance. That is why I inverted the tranny and used limiter straps to keep the driveshafts in.

I have decided to take my crawler in a different direction. Looking at the comp rules I think an X-Factor would have a difficult time without extreme modification. So I am going the scale tuber route.

1:6 Scale, numbers are relatively accurate

On Tuesday I will see if Mat can machine one for me, or if I will have to breakout the hacksaw.

Once I get any actual piece made I will start a new thread.

Looks pretty good. Is it in running order? If so, we should go crawling. I'm right down parker road past arapahoe, and there is a pretty cool crawling area over here by the Parker recreation center. PM me and maybe we can set something up. I'll bring the video camera

It can be in running order if I put the axle back on, but it’s not in crawling order. Batteries die in about 5 minutes, no reverse, no power, tires barley turn on a countertop. I would like to see your crawler but school is kicking my ass. Physics and pre-calc tests this week and three AP lang essays due within the next two weeks. If grades drop again crawler goes away

HANG ON TO YOUR GRADES! One lesson I learned the hard way (or else I'd be up at CSU still). When you get some free time then just PM me. I'm actually pretty busy in the near future (girlfriend+vday, dad flying in, work, school) so maybe in a few weeks.

Those AP classes kick butt though. I received 6credit hours (two classes) worth of english and 6credit hours of german for my results. I just wish I had taken the physics and calc tests, but I didn't think I could handle them.
