its a friggin monster. its a heavy pig. and its a lot of fun.
might not be the latest and greatest in rc comp rigs, but it wheels virtually exactly like a full sized would.

wb is 2000" and the cog is so high it will tip going over a pack of smokes. matter of fact it will just tip over immediatly all on its own on level ground...
...or in other words, dont tire kick my posts...
the lower 'hoop' where the tranny and cells are located is filled with fiberglass resin for strength and to keep the cog down. the cells, the tranny, the motor, all that stuff i tried to keep as far down ass possible. but given the nature of the construction and design, it obviously has a higher cog than a comp style rig. regardless, it still boggies on the rocks, and my 1:6 clod based toilet tuber is far more tippy than this guy.

Do you have any close up shots of the link mounting points on the axles? I am looking to build a crawler from a twinforce but am not sure how to attach the links.
Thanks.

it has x-factor axles. not at all comparable to madforce/twinforce axles.
i just recently saw a pic someplace of some force axle link mounts that rcalloys made, they looked pretty damn sweet.

I've seen your crawler around before and have always thought it was awesome! Great ingenuity with the pvc pipe and everything!
What happened to the kongs though?

hey man thanks. people either like it or hate it...
i actually busted the kongs out of the closet recently. going to narrow them and see how they work on the jeep after that.

Maaaaaaaaan, that thing is TOO cool :-). Looks like a ton 'o' fun and very capable. Glad we could help in the construction of it even if it was just a pinion mod ;-)

i forgot about that... lol, but seriously dude you can make one for like 30 bucks + body and drivetrain. if i really wanted, (and i dont, so dont ask ;) ) i could bang out another one like the yellow guy in a weekend. hardest part is trimming the dang hardbody. now the red one, thats a tad bit more involved...
i'll probably just bring down the red guy, the yellow one will most likely donate its gear reductions and 480 sized cans to the boyer rig so i can run a better link setup. i might bring the yellow one down anyway, just so you can check it out and see how dang easy it is to make one.
