Well I was trying to do a nice orange paint job, but the color wasn't the right tint and it started to run also. So I let it dry and wet sanded it, and now it looks beaten and weatered. I think I might just leave it this way, it looks cool and I won't have to worry about scratching it crawling. I do have to say, the body is definitely smooth now!

What do you guys think? I could always get another body for just show.

Oh, it'll get a lot more beat up than that after you run it.

The problem with "show bodies" is you're tempted to run them, just once, and that's when you get a wildass glitch that sends it under a parked car or something. So run what ya got.

I think it looks good for a scaler!! Like you said you can always get a cherry one for the shelf..... Now take that one crawling!

I think it looks pretty cool. Would be cool to get a dent in the side or something to make it looks more beat up.

Got it, more primer and a dent somewhere... I was even thinking of puching a small hole and making it look rusted.

How about painting one door and the tailgate a different color then ruff it up a little. It'll look like a pieced together, pick-your-parts truck!

and if you want ,you could have the front have a dark color as a base and do a "cheap" paint job with something light so the the darker color bleeds through like it was spray painted .

I'm running the Mamba Max 4600 setup. I haven't decided yet if I want to put the side mirrors on or off. I remember reading about a spring mirror mod somewhere. I'm trying to find it right now...

Also my 11yr old son is really good at dry brushing so I'm going to let him detail it tomorrow. Mostly on the chrome stuff because it's to bling, bling.

i think you should leave it that way considering the motor your running in it...........all the parts will fly off and the paint will look like that once you try a high speed turn!!!!!

Found a mirror mod with heat shrink tubing.
Step one: cut them off. Remove the skinny section from the center of the posts.
Step two: cut four short sections of 1/8 heat shrink tubing, and attach them to the mirror stubs with CA glue.
Now you've got fold-away mirrors! http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/images/smilies/banana.gif
