KING OF THE HILL contest

I was talking to the guy thats helping to run this. Its in Somerset PA. about 70 miles east of pittsburgh. but its king of the hill rock climb contest. the prize is a chevy suburban custom painted body. 8 bucks per driver. this contest is Febuary 10th 2007. pm me if your interested in this.

why the change to a monday night? that is seriously going to effect the outcome to this event in a negative way, and if there is a small turnout, the organizer may decide it isn't worth the time and effort to get another event together. i'd be willing to wait till there is a saturday available...

Razor if you know this guy you should tell him that monday is bad. Nobody is gonna be able to make it. I was all in when it was on saturday.

RULES
must have a body.
If truck rolls over no helping it.
You have 5 minutes to get to line or its considered a loss.

OBJECTIVE
double elimination, first truck to finish line advances

PRIZES
1st: painted body & trophy
2nd/3rd: trophy

next year theres going to be classes because im going to be working with the guy on it. so basically the classes are ages this year but next there wont be.

if you post pics before it starts you'll probably get a better turn out if people know what theyr running on. hill climb i think of racing to the top of a big pile of dirt which wouldnt be all that fun with a crawler.

Sounds like an odd competition.... not quite a hill climb, not quite a rock crawl...not quite a rock race.... that's where the confusion is.

Guys, I have attended this race in past. As it was when I attended, it is a hill climb.

Basically a side-by-side running start to the base of the hill. Each truck has its own up lane and down lane. You go up the hill, around a cone, then back down the hill. First one to the finish line wins. Jim Z. may have changed this event since I last attended... so I sould be wrong.

Any ways, when I attended, the guy that won 2 years in a row drove a 6-wheel drive, dual brushless E-Maxx. It was quite the sight.
