I bought myself some galvanized cable today down at the hardware store..dont know what im gonna use for a thing to keep it on my car but it looks like it will work so far.:)

You should go with synthetic winch rope.....much safer :-)

I'm just use it quite a bit on other forums. I'm surprised this one doesn't have it.

You could try leader wire for fishing lures. It comes in a ton of different gauges and you can get at wally-world. I use it for brake cables on my 1/5th motorcycle.

look for tigerwire, its used for making jewelery, like necklaces... i use it on my scaler. its rubber shielded steel cable.

I've used the Tigerwire for a while on my winch, after a few uses the plastic casing wears off.
I'm switching over to this stuff Probeater brought me today. It's a synthetic 50# test braided Berkley fishing line available at your finer sporting goods stores nationwide ;-) About $23.00 for a 300yd roll.
Seems to be some strong stuff. I'll find out soon as I'm cabling up my winch for some testing on my new build, the Hi-Lift super duty Freetime winching services truck "thumbsup"
