Depends what you want to do with it. The pajero is small scale and wouldn't do worth a crap for the kind of crawling I do.
Out of the box, I think the TXT-1 is the best bet. Also with very little x-tra cash it can be made VERY capable.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but they seem to do well. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Well Clods are horrible in stock form but wiuth something like the Gecko and some aluminum links, a Super Rooster, and some good motors it can be a very capable crawler. It would do as well as the TXT-1 would out of the box and it mybe slightly cheaper especially after you buy a ESC and some motors fpr the TXT-1. I would think that either one is a good choice it just depends on how much work you want to do yourself. If yuo have any questions just ask.

It all depends on the type of crawling you plan to do, if you have itty bitty rocks a pajero with locked diffs would do great-and you can add larger wheels and tires later as you get better. A pajero is also considerably less costly then a TXT-1. But as Jason said if you want to do the big stuff a TXT-1 is about as good as it gets for a factory crawler. Clods are good but the stock chassie is horrible-for $160 you can get a nice gecko set-up from Rcguy and have someone like Dev2K from RCMT fab you a stearing set-up. Another consideration is the TLT-1 which is simmiler to a smaller version of the TXT-1. It costs less and with a few mods would probably crawl very well. Also cheak all the tech articals on the site!

You could put smaller tires on a clod, but it isn't good for crawling you want a tall tire.
