wk xrc comp rig

My kids finally have a break from their comps. So I'm finally getting a chance to work on my comp. rig and have a chance to join my first NOR-CAL comp. This was actually started as a tlt comp rig but I felt the angled pinions on the wk axles were more suited for a comp rig. Will post Pics when I get home. Here's the parts:

wk axles locked w/ my idea of link,bat. and servo mount
pede tranny w/slipper 84spur 15 pinion
max driveshafts
mamba max or 25
55t or RR2
futaba w/ spektrum
A123 or eight 2/3 cells
reciever pack
droop suspension /wk shocks front internal springs
high clearence xrc links
revolver wheels narrowed
masher tires

anybody running mamba 25/RR2 combo w/pede tranny on their wk.
Feel free to give any suggestions"thumbsup"

for the rr2/m25 combo, it's good if you keep the rig light, the motor is on the weak side. I go with 3013 if you go brushless.

I ran this combo with pede rr2/m25 and 2/3 eight cell on tlt, I tried it but switch out to a 55t lathe

Finished up electronics today and decided to go with mamba 25/RR2 combo.
Took it for a little test run in the yard and did not have any problems. running it with 6.6v A123 cells and no reciever pack. ESC temp never went above 89F and motor stayed at 79F. With no program changes. I 'll go back in and paint body and program esc. I'm liking this set-up but will probably change shock oil to 1000 like JIA.

You haven't had any stalling problems when bound up hard ?

Just took it out the front yard and climbed my stairs which have a negative pitch so the wheels bind in the lower part but I have'nt bound them between rocks yet. I'll Be doing that today and see what happens.

J, have you played with the m25 settings ? When I had my mm2/m25 and got my rig really bound up, it seemed like it wanted to get it self but couldn't. I think because I haven't really played with the setting on m25. I also running a pede and tighen the slipper down then back it off just little bit.

E, Yes I've reprogrammed the settings section1(3) section2(3) section3(3lipo cutout) section4(race) section5(3).The thing s I've noticed is stronger brake ,a little more power on start-up and better foward reverse transition. Hope this helps. I'm new to the whole brushless thing other than my novak brushless for tc sedan.

Nice rig !!! I really like the bug bodies. One question does the frame want to move up and down with that setup. One of my friends has a clod using a frame similar to that and it jumps up and down while crawling. Just wondering if it moves much?

Thanks for the coments. JIA's dad I haven't experienced any jumping when I crawl but it does want to lift the left rear of the chasis up when the front tire is bound, torque twist I'm guessing. However the rear tires keep in contact with the ground and the chassis settles as soon as the fronts start rolling.

I love your link mount, I will I would have thought about that before I went and wasted all of the time on mine.

Thanks it's proven very durable. When I took my rig out it tumbled down that hill several times with no damage. I just screwed it in from inside the axle housing and ca'd it just for extra security. I'll probably through bolt it for even more durabilty but I don't normally let my rigs tumble down 30'-60' rock hills, so for comps around here I probably don't need it.
