If you use the image button instead, you can link them directly.... or you can still go back and edit it, change the "URL" to "IMG" and then I can delete my post.

How well does that hold up? Seems like a great idea to use the stock parts.
I'm waiting on my 4x4 WK to get here. Cant wait :)

That's very sweet. Definitely going to do one of those next. Are you running the stock electronics? If so, what do you think of them?

04-02-2007, 09:48 PM
Yeah, how good is the stock ESC and steering servo? Does it have enough power to turn those huge stock tires?
upoveryou
04-02-2007, 09:50 PM

Cool. Curious to see how long that servo lasts. I blew out a Hitec 5645 this weekend at a comp and that was supposed to be a pretty hardcore servo. I patched it back together so we'll see how it goes. Keep us posted on durability. The rig is looking great so far!
Looks real nice! Is it top heavy? I had thought about dong something with the WK and this has really inspired me.. cheap crawler IMO

The tires really set that rig off. That body looks killer as well.
I am glad that we finally have a semi capable rig that is almost ready to crawl.

Any plans for relocating the battery to the front, or is there enough room? Is that one of those proline on road bodies? Looks great with the new tires.

Did you switch the back to the front for better weight control in front of car? Or is yours regular with good weight?

Did it start crapping out with the stock motor or with the 55t? I read somewhere that it gets hot trying to run slow with the stock 27t.
upoveryou
04-14-2007, 09:55 PM
it was about 1 1/2 inch longer then stock. i think its just a cheap 55t motor. i put the stock 27t motor back in a that work batter and smoked the stock motor today

Nice test pile your got there. Wish I had something like that in the yard somewhere. I've got a small pile of firewood in the backyard and a few rocks pile around the fire hydrant in the front yard. Neither one give much of a challenge, I could climb both easy after I locked the diffs. I did find a sweet place to crawl today, down in a wash, lots of rocks and sand, and loose dirt hills...it has everything!
