View Full Version : 4x4 WK Showed Up Today From Tower, Broken! :(

My brother and I both ordered Wheely King 4x4's from Tower as soon as they were in stock (I already have another WK modded for crawling). His showed up with the ESC broken right out of the box. It gave power to run the reciever and servo, but no motor power. Mine was fine. We tested it by taking the HPI ESC out of my crawler and putting it in his truck, it worked fine then. Altogether we have 4 of these things! I have one that I originally canablized to make my first one 4x4 when the 4x4 was not available. I hope this is not a hassel to get fixed by HPI!

HPI's customer service is the best in the business... give them a call, send in your parts, I'm sure they'll send you a new one. I'd be surprised if it took much more then a week for the turn-around. Looks like you got some other toys to keep you busy during that time? :shock:

X2, but they aren't as speedy or great on their customer service at least in my experience...but they will take care of you.

BTW, nice lookin fleet!

Whats the deal..Just use the esc from the cannablized one...Problem solved..NOw you won't be without while you send the bad one in for replacement ;)

That is what we did. I just had planned on not doing anything to the truck thinking that tower could just swap it out, but they are out of stock. Tower would be faster than HPI to get it back on the road, but it is not an option. No biggie I have 4 WK's, and my bro has one' I have the canablized one, my modded crawler one, another new 4X4 in the box, and another barely used 2WD one. I put the new in box 4X4 one on EBAY, and am gonna part it if it doesn't sell. I am not sure how I ended up with so many of these things....
