does anyone on this website have a backround in precision machining
How about a degree in it?
Does that count :)

i guess that works i was just wondering because a lot of the rigs on this site have a lot of custom work done to them and some looks really good and as of now i am in a shop that has a Haas milling center and a Haas cnc lathe and about 20 bridgeports
and old southbend lathes

All I know about machining is what I've taught myself.
I think I need a better instructor.

I just push buttons until something happens. Then if that don't work, i usually just send Jasoninaugusta an IM
I guess I could contract my CNC programming services :)
Any specific questions?

nope i don't have any questions on it i was just wondering because some of the work that people do with their rigs is amazing
I'm a wannabe...
I'm a Mechanical Engineer who didn't feel comfortable designing parts w/o knowing how they are made so I bought a mill and lathe and listened to the machinists at work.
