I bought just the tube chassis from brushlessnut. I'm changing it up from a tlt droop to a wheely king droop. I plan on changing the panels to thin lexan painted red.
It will be powered by a holmes revolver r1 or r2, Mamba 25, tower pro servo. The shocks are just for mock up.
I'm waiting on crawler store diff lockers to come in. Tranny is going to a b3 locked with a 62pyro diff locker. or a r2 that I have coming don't know which one yet.
On to the pictures:

I'm waiting on parts in the mail and from my local hobby town. But here is pics of the tranny options that I'm putting in it and the motor to power it.
Here is what I want to run if it fits.

If not a b3 tranny had to order a new main gear because the one that I got is locked with hot glue and has some chips in the teeth. I'm using a 62 pyro diff locker on the new one that I ordered from my hobby town.

Did you have to trim any of this part in order to get more steering once you installed you CVDs?
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x70/heyokal/Parts/hubcarrierset.jpg
Right now with my stock parts, my servo is able to drive the steering until the inside edge of the plastic section that the link connects to (there must be a name for this) hits the stationary part of the axle.
Thanks,

That makes sense - the part about not wanting to trim to avoid not breaking a knuckle. What I guess I am wondering is that you say you have a lot more steering. I'm trying to convince myself that I need these CVs, but I'm not understanding how it lets you turn sharper if you didn't trim. Was I reading too much into this?
Thanks for your patience.

CV joints do allow for more steering than a standard axle, but you will have to trim the knuckles to get the added steering. The main advantage to the cv's is their strength. I have to wk based rigs, both with the cv's and I am very happy with both the gain in strength and turning radius after a little time spent with my dremmel!"thumbsup"

Can I ask what it costs out your way for these screws?
I went to a place near Vancouver that sells stainless steel screws and they wanted $0.50 a piece for similar screws. They were M2 button head screws. I wanted 100 of them so I would have a couple of spares for doing two sets of wheels but I had a hard time with the price of $50 for a tiny bag of screws
