I just finished getting my WK done. Im running Moabs on some Stampede wheels. The wheels arent narrowed .
I was having a problem with the stock WK wheel hexes not seating far enough into the Pede wheels because of the raised section on the hexes. so I shaved them off for a better fit.
But now the wheels rub on the Knuckles. What can I do to fix this?? Is there a better set of hexes? Or am I overlooking something?

lost of dremel work will make them fit without rubbing. the inside of the inner lip needs to be sanded down and also the ends of the steering links.

narrow your wheels

the 'pede wheels are pud to do, the center section is narrower than the bead, hack off the inner bead, flip it around, CA it back onto the rest of the rim. Done

Thanks for the info guys. I went and did some careful clearancing with my dremel and added a 3mm shim.

Problem fixed.
But I think I will need to something better. So in the future so I wont have to do this to every wheel and tire combo I try.

my pede wheels didn't work either, you can either cut the lip off the hex, or switch hexes to get them to work....

narrow your wheels
+1, I'm just starting out in rc crawling, but I've got two sets of narrowed 'pede wheels and I don't have any issues.

Why not just buy a set of wideners? I used the Junfac wideners on my TLT with the stock WK tires and wheels, and on the otherwise stock WK my sister got for her B-day. No problems, and should work with any 12mm hex wheel you want to run.

Wideners on WK axles would make them...about 472 miles wide.

Double-narrow some pede rears and you'll be fine.

I like RPM Revolver rears.

Yeah, but when you are already 471 miles wide, whats another inch? Besides, with Pede rears and "normal" 2.2 tires, is it realy that much wider than it is with the huge stock tires?

I took so long with my TLT build they went and discontinued it on me, and now the WK and AX-10 make my axle choice seem kind of... regretable.
