servo mount options w/o clocking links?

I'm realizing how much all the stock linkage stretches and bends with th HS 645 servo on now so I would like to mount the servo on the axle.
I did the HPI conversion with savage DS's front and rear. It seems like I have to clock the links and shocks to get the template/mount to clear the shock on passenger side, but when I do that my DS falls apart and is too short. I can recut the links for pinion angle but do I need a new Driveshaft for the front then? Just feels like I wasted money on the DS now. am I wrong?
I'd really like to keep the links and shocks where they are for ride height reasons, no tranny dragging, so any options? the plastic "horn" on the dif bends up and down with steer and I can see alot of wasted movent going away from the wheels that should be turning. no lock to lock on the rocks!

I don't really have a solution just a confirmation:

Yes the "stadndard" servo mount template here will require clocking the link mounts. If you want you can clock only the front's for clearance and leave the rears.

Yes, when you clock the mount the wheelbase will grow and you likely will need new drive shafts. Instead of getting the savage shafts mentioned in the HPI build get the long Traxxas Shafts. Is the boxed mount plan gonna print to scale? the ratio says 1:.9 not 1:1. I'd still have to clock the links with that wouldn't I ?
Do ya have to clock with the King Bling one?
My LHS said RCP is makin' a direct bolt on with no mods required but I can't find plans or I'd make my own. Any thoughts? limited tools (dremel and hacksaw"thumbsup") Just tired of the steering slop and not returning to center on rocks.LAAAAAME

Looks like the clamps on the axle are rolled (clocked) to me.
I agree with solomon7. For the scale/look I need, the template requires turning those axle clamps. I know, there will be more ground clearance if turned, thats not what I want. I'm not sure there is a good way of fitting a servo in that area without moveing the shocks back.

Unless I try 2 micro servos, one on each side of the diff. Not wild about that idea though.

i need to get a pic up of the servo mount i just made.. its for B.T.A. steering and has a built in upper link mount mount all in one piece and mounts the servo on top of the pumpkin.
