Has anyone mounted a 1/4 scale servo on the x factor axle. I dont have alot of money and the hitec 705 is cheap for 200oz. I was thinking of cutting a larger hole in the stock mount but I looks too close so I was wondering if it can be done.
thanks

I need to rework them to gain a bit more clearance, but this setup has held even when being smashed into rocks.

toyofast,

Not sure you can even get a servo saver for this big 'ol servo... It's a tough servo.

... and does it give in any from the jumbo kongs.

With 222oz.in @ 4.8V it moves the Kongs without any issues... fast and powerfull. The added heatsinks on it seem to really help it stay cooler as the Kongs and locked diffs do add some resistance.

The servo it relatively cheap for so much servo, about $60. I plan to get another one for the rear once I have more power to supply to my servos. The Super Rooster can't handle even this one servo very well.

Booty fab only looks good in pictures :D

I ordered the hitec 705mg, I hope my super rooster can handle 2 of them. I'm using a 7.2 6 cell to power my servos now, (hitec 645, hitec 5645) no probs yet

If running dual servos and plan to do some hardcore crawling I would highly suggest either you invest in or build a reciever pack to supply full power to the servos. Your run time will thank you.

currently i think i have that set up, one 7.2 to the esc, and one 7.2 to the reciever

Can your reciever handle that much juice? I thought that if you went much over 6V it can cause problems.... :?:

So far it has without a prob, I was using a TQ3 for a while and that was great. Now I'm using the futaba Conquest for a tamiya busier, the 4 channels are great!

can you tell more about the heat sinks im intrested

the servosaver at the LHS that is black and has three hats for all diffrent servos can fit the big servo without the adapters

ther is a high tec servo for about 42 it may be the same specs. you can find at servocity.com take a look

On mine?? If so.... the heatsinks are a factory deal. I got the one with heatsinks on purpose as big tires can make even a big servo get warm.

But how well can those savers fit one with a metal output?? It'd need a metal/aluminum insert to handle the power and strain. Otherwise it'd strip out.
