link relocation help

well, i had a buddy fab a servo mount to move the servo to the top of the front axle. And finally moved the links to the top of the front axle, getting rid of the damn skidplate. Now, the problem is the back, im not running 4ws.....but i dont know where to put that link to lock the rear wheels from turning. Any help/pics would be great.

I"m trying to figure that out as well. I think what I'm going to do is make a drag link that attachs to the mount that holds your susp. links on the axle. Make a small extension piece that bolts to the grey mount and have it stick out over the tie-rod them make a drag link and tie-rods like this:

and attach it on top of your tie-rod to steering knuckle mount.

I made a drag link and tie rod. I hooked up a servo on the rear and attached the tie rod and drag link that I made. I then took the steering servo off and bolted the drag link to the rearward most bolt that holds the top diff cover on. This locks out the rear and the big benefit is that you can easily bolt on the servo, connect the drag link and you have 4ws in about 2 minutes.

quik four wheel steering ?. When you need to make a tight turn w/4ws you turn the front, then switch to the rear and turn the rear. Will the front hold it's turn? Or Rear for that matter? The whole thing kinda confusses me.

My method gives you a lock out OR 4 wheel steering with only having to move a couple of bolts.

In competition, some scoring penalizes for 4ws, so I made a set up that allows me to easily disconnect the 4ws... and with one bolt, converts to a lock out. Make sense?

ive just made a drag link to one of top of mounts, screw a ball there and connect a drag link, tommorow ill post pics, cause my sister took digicam with her, its easy and works!!

I locked out the rear using the factory draglink and tierod. I just used the vertical screw on top of the diff that hold the top case on.
It has hald up fine and the screw is plenty long enough. You dont have to buy or fab anything, just adjust the ball ends so the tires track in the correct direction.

Here is a set Dirk did for me. I ran just front steering for a couple of days then mounted my second 845MG. It was very easy.
