well I ran out of mapp gas on Saturday night and can't pick any up till Monday(today) so I took Sunday and figured I'd build up this bad boy.
I have to say I really like the kit. Easy to follow and simple to put togeather. A+ goes to Axial. I did find one type-o in the manual though, they used the same part number on two different parts but it's not a big deal.
This will end up being the wife's rig so it will have some pink in the paint job.
I'm also using this to show the versitility of the "HORNS" (Grins) for mounting shocks. I'll also be replacing the shocks with some shorter ones.
I've also figured out how I'll convert the AX-10 axles to set up the dampened torsion option I'll have available for Da Bull chassis and as soon as I can get some more money you'll be seing a Scale ax-10 build.
anyway on to the pics.
I didn't get that many cause I started to build and forgot all about the camera.
It took me a total of about 2.5 hours to get it to this stage. I was able to use the kits rod ends and the Y rod end thing that is included with the kit. The links are white(natural) delrin. to give it a WB of 12 3/8 inches.
It's rid hieght is right at about 3.25" w/ the shocks on it now. The shorter shocks will bring it to just about 3" when I'm finished.
I've also droped the bead lock rings off at the coaters for a white/black hammer tone. to stay with the black and white theme I've got going on.
I'll be using one of the new motors from run2jeepn to get it moving under it's own power.
Well enough talking on to the pics.

Considering a pede trans just barely slides in these frames, it really gives you a feel for how nice and tight these trans are huh?

looking good j, hows the performance?
I'll find out this week. Just received my shocks they are a little too short though but I'll be able to use them. It dropped it to a GC of around 2.75" and the way I have it set up would actually be perfect for a droop suspension but I'm going to see how I like it before I make the changes.
If my computer works with me I'll have some pics soon.

So, by flipping the "horns" over you could use a little longer shock, get more arti, and possibly keep the same ground clearance.........very cool.
I love the look of the green/black chassis. "thumbsup" Nice work DubJ.

Thanks on the color I just had all the horns PCed black to keep it simple.
The ground clearance on mine did change a bit, simply because I went from I think the Axial shocks are like 4.25 or 4.5 inches to a 80mm (3 1/8"). But for a typical 4" shock to a lower shock yes you are correct.
It's also is good when setting up a droop type of suspension to give a little extra clearance when it's at ride height or just adjusting the shock placement.
You can also change the inward angles of the shocks by where you place them. If you notice on my set up the rears are angled inward and the fronts are vertical.

I will change it up later. I wanted to run with what was available. It will first turn into a dampened torsion then a scaler or which ever is needed.
