slbks5,
That's cool. then make them yourself!

So what you are saying is that a guy like Bill Gates should also just give all of his ideas away for free? Yeah....that's real smart. Correct me if I'm wrong...but this is still a capitalistic country, right?

are you making them or having people pay you for templets. im not interested because i have already made mine but would just like to know for a laugh.

bar if you would like templates i can make some for you for free just because i am a good person and would like to see are hobby grow world wide.

DirkDigler
02-25-2004, 01:38 PM
not sure yet. I may make the whole steering set up, minus the servo, and sell it as a kit. Or...I may just sell a template for a few bucks and people can make the braket, steering links and servo posts themselves.
You'd be surprised at how many emails I have already gotten from people that just want measurements or a template to make one themselves.

Have fun wasting your time and money on other people!

By the way Skyjacker, I was wondering. I don't know how to build an Emaxx crawler. Can you build one for me for free?......because you are a good person and I want our hobby to grow.

hell dud it takes like 5 minites to trase, scan and size templates so you can email them. i make custom rollcages for r/c and i know want it like but templetes you have to be shitting me. :D

skyjacker_rc_club
02-25-2004, 01:47 PM
i know your just joking but i would give you templetes for my chassis i have helped may people build there crawlers many of times. But making them a crawler is a whole nother thing.

If people are offering money, I will gladly take it.

That's why I am a successful sales person.

It's not about the money.....it's about satisfaction....on both ends! I doubt you'd understand!

Make your free templates bro! Great work!

PS. Should Jason and I add a spell/grammar/punctuation check for you? No offense but I could barely understand that last line of your post.

you dont under stand what ever dont get mad. i just think if your going to sell some thing you at less have to make it. My SCC santa cruz customs is working out good and i sell about 5 cages a week that not bad and dam right i carge them but templetes is another thing.

DirkDigler
02-25-2004, 02:09 PM
What ever you say. Obvisouly, you know everything.
I'm sure you'll become a millionaire from selling rc cages.
Skyjacker,
I'm sure you're a nice enough guy and all....and you probably know your rc and how to build stuff....but I've got to tell you man.....you are the type of guy that made me leave that other forum. Others left too because of you. If someone has an idea or anything, you always have to chime in and give your two cents and it became really annoying. If your input was possitive or constructive, that would be one thing but it's really just annoying. I'm not mad at all but you should step back and look at yourself. I was going to pm you this message but I've already gotten pm's about you here at this forum and others feel this way too. If you've got good information to share with people or even free templates for TXT-1 steering brakets, then offer them up but please, don't ever rip on anyone or be condescending here again or you will be gone!

Good luck! Enough said!

No do not make tons of cash of my roll cage bussness i just have fun building stuff that people find cool. i didnt mean to "rip on you" i just gave my oppinion on what i think is right if you feel like charging people for a templete then that cool but as soon as i offer my services to someone else you had to get all froggy.

this is my opinion but if you feel so strongly about your guys's website then mabe you should spend some time and work on it the only think holding you guys up is your forums. Just my Opinion no one needs to reasond.

It does seem a bit greedy to ask people pay for info you can just draw on the computer and e-mail out with minimal effort  but then again theres loads of guys in the 1:1 industry willing to pay big bucks for templets 8O so if you can make some mulla of it-go you! :D

Dirk,

What hardware did you use to mount both links side-by-side, or on top of each other? I want to move my lower link up like you suggested in you TXT 10 way how-to, but I cannot find any hardware that would work.

Thanks,
Badger

It's a long, hardened steel, bolt.....so it won't bend. I used Koysho rod ends because they have a ball joint with a conical washer built onto them. This allows the joints to sit far enough appart, so there is no binding. The key is finding a bolt long enough.

Dirk,

Thanks for the quick reply. I will go get some Kyosho ball ends, and a hardened bolt.

I know you have heard this a million times, but man you do some great work!
