Hey Everyone
We are proud to announce our new exclusive 2.2 Beadlock wheel. Rpp Rock Ready 2.2 aluminum beadlock wheels. These are being manufactured for us by RC4WD. They will only be available through us. Below pictures are of our prototype wheels. Final wheels will have rings with just RPP on both sides of rings. Rather Than Rpp Hobby. We have not chosen a final center cap. We would like everyone's input as to which one they like. We may do a black version wheel, but are unsure, as we are so happy with the look of all silver. Thanks for the Read and give us your input "thumbsup"

OMG, omg, omg!!!!! Paypal is ready Corey!!!!"thumbsup"
Option 1) Why not offer both? I can envision a scale rig with the lockout on the front and the others in the rear.
Option 2) If you only do one cap I vote for the one with the lockout hub. The one on the left of the first pic.
I love the wheel and the slots in the rock ring. Personally, I want the silver finish.

X2 on Griz's option 1, the smaller locking hub for the front, and the bigger hub for the rear.
Shoot, let me just go ahead and X2 everything Griz said.

Wow,those look great. There are so many great sets of aluminum locks coming out that it's hurting my brain to decide on which one's I'll buy...I may end up with several different sets
I vote for the one on the left also (in the first pic)...with scale looking lockout hub. I also vote for the option of having a black set available for purchase along with the raw.
Maybe have both black and raw in both the rings and centers...that way the buyer can mix and match the rings to the wheel centers to get 4 different looks "thumbsup"

They are going to be the same size wise as my BL88, But we are working to make the tire groove to accomadate most of the tires being
used.

Final wheels will have rings with just RPP on both sides of rings. Rather Than Rpp Hobby. (cut and pasted from the first post).

Nice wheel! I agree with above...offer both. Locking hub up front and the other in the rear, but if I had to choose one then Locking Hub it is! It'd be like have a rig with full floating axles front and rear."thumbsup" Whn will they be available? They're gonna look awesome on my Tamiya HiLux Hi-Lift and RC4WD's new BFG Krawler Tire Look a like wrapped around them!:):)

Yeah I am not pitting the hobby on the final product. It will be RPP on both sides of the rings as stsated in my first post "thumbsup"

Does this also mean that the outer rings will have the milled backside to grip the bead better?
Are these clear coated or bare? I like the locking hub look better... but the lock ring looks a little wide, for my tastes anyway. But deffinitely something to look at.

These are going to be a polished finish which is not done on these. Rings will stay the say size, but other rings from prior wheels with same bolt pattern will work too,

may i suggest a narrower ring? its hiding too much of that georgous wheel!
i like the smaller locking hub center cap.
id also be interested in a set with no rings.

I agree, they are hiding a bit much of the wheel, and that wheel design deserves to be shown off. Im torn on the hubs though. I have hubs on my other 2 sets of beadlocks, and Im starting to wish they were not there and were a nut cover thing to put over the wheel nut, or just a different wheel nut that looks like a hub or something. It gets to be a pain when you gotta undo 8 screws on each wheel just to take the thing off

I'd be more likely to buy a set of these, or any RC4WD beadlocks for that matter, if I could get them with no rings.
~EDIT~ Oops, I forgot these don't have atypical RC4WD ring, but it would be nice to see the option of buying with no rings, especially with all the aftermarket rings becoming available and will be.

I really had a look I was trying to achieve with these wheels, and RC4WD hit the nail on the head :) The only thing I will be changing with these is getting rid of the hobby on the ring and replacing with RPP. And I am pretty sure I will be doing the smaller locking hub as I agree with most that looks best.
I think I will be having RC4WD make some narrow rings as a seperate purchase.

Unfortunatly I am buying these as I complete set so I have to sell them that way. I may ask to have a small over run of wheels to see if I can off seperate, but I think thats unlikely.
I know I told Pyro I would do it for him :-P But I owe him

awesome, it would be great, if on the 1.9s you could keep the rings as absolutly narrow as possible, ie like the standard 1.9 rings on the stock RC4wd wheels."thumbsup"

I got my prototype wheels today :) I really took some time to try out Moab M2, Masher 2k M2, Rock Lizards, Rock Claws all out on the rocks today. Not one of the tires mentioned pulled a bead loose while testing.
One thing I did before mouting each type of tire was took paint thinner/degreaser and cleaned the tire beads real good, and to my surprise there was alot of mold release left on them. I also cleaned the wheels to ensure there were no oils left on them. I highly recommend this to anyone moutning new tires to new aluminum beadlock wheels.
I had my wife taking some pictures for me but none turned out very well sorry so I used the best here with a Pro Line Masher 2k Bound up pretty good not loosing a bead

I took a picture for a width comparison to my BL88 Wheels and as you can see the Rock Ready is a tad bit norrower.
I do not have my calipers to check exact but with my old eys and the tape the BL88 are 1-3/8" wide and the Rock Ready is 1-1/4 wide
These dim are withoutrings on. Here is a picture for comparison

Those have to be the coolest wheel they have made yet. Not really digging the huge rings though, they hide the face of the wheel.

10-12-2007, 04:22 PM
I really wanted the bigger rings like you would see on alot of 1 to 1 rock crawlers. To each his own :) I really like them. If some one wants to change the rings later they can buy using RC4WD option/replacement rings that are not as wide. These are the same bolt pattern as the BL88 BL22N beadlock rings.

Your product, your choice. If I were building something that looked like a rock crawling buggy or something, then i agree, these are perfect, but Im more of a scale guy, so for under a rubicon body, they are a little large. But that wheel design is rediculously awesome, excellent choice"thumbsup"

I honestly do not know, I know chino63 is running these on one of his and he may have CVD's
I do not have anything to do with the TLT MIP cvd's so I have no experience with them. Sorry
If you bought my wheels and they did not fit because of the CVD's I would give you a Refund on them no problem. Thanks Corey
