giveaway section

the vendors here are great and i appreciate that they give away tons of free stuff...


but i go into the axial section to check out some builds today to see some tech and there is 6 - 8 giveaways cluttering that section.

why not just have a giveaways section on the site? i think more people would be inclined to buy a star so they wont have to search for giveaways, and this would prevent all the cluttering in the tech sections.

my 2 cents.

Sounds like a good idea to me but then again you would have people just jumping on for the heck of it even if they have no use for the product that is being given away.

It isn't all about me making more money, it's about helping the vendors promote thier goods;) If they are selling AX-10 items, there is no place better for them to promote that item than the AX-10 section, wouldn't you agree?

If it weren't for the Vendors supporting RCC and providing these giveaways, RCC would not be where it's at today.

This is a great setup for helping newbs know about our great vendor support for specific types of rig's/manufacturers. When your new to a forum of this size it can take you a little while to get a grasp on where everything is laid out. So as joe-newb is browsing the TLT tech forum he sees the giveways for TLT specific products which makes it that much easier for him to find vendors to buy parts from and if he is so inclined he can buy a star and participate in the giveaway. Because we know that joe-newb is looking to either buy a complete rig or build it himself which requires knowing what parts to buy and where to buy them from..... and all this is because we like to "clutter up the tech forums with giveaways".

Members that contact vendors and manufacturers on this site so they can get free products to promote their own site. Then have the nerve to not only come back here and promote their site...but also complain about the way this site is being ran.

Giveaway threads "die" after a while anyway. After the item has been given away and thank-you's/congrats have been said, people stop posting in them and they fall to the end of the forum where they no longer "clutter" the current topics. No big deal.
