Hey guys, a little new to the world of crawling but not remote controls. First off, i sold all my nitro stuff for a crawler, That's dedication... Now on too my crawler, i traded a T-maxx .15 coverted to a 3.3 for a (nib) Wheely King. At first sight i wasn't happy, then i found the forums on here and now, i renamed it the crawler king.. First off, i bought Traxxas P3 112mm pushrods for the Lower links as seen in the pics, stock upper links with a spacer. And lengthened the Steering linkage with all thread.

Alright and here is another pic... Sorry just new here.

This was my first stage of the build, Trimmed the body, running all stock electronics.

And my wheelbase in the pictures is stock..

Now onto the next stage, i wasn't happy, so i followed hpi build and did it that way, i don't have any pictures of it, i strecthed it to 12.5" wb, and still wasn't happy..
So here is a pic of the new crawler king, i did alot to get to this point.
http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff54/imprtcrx95/crawler1.jpg

I have some more with in depth shots and flew shots of it.. just a detailed description, i went an extra 1/2 inch on the wb, I'm now running t-maxx shocks, rear are no springs w/ 50wt oil and fronts are 30wt oil and blue springs.
I added spacers to the upper links, and i cut off that little lip at the bottom of the chassis, after that i bought some aluminum and built a tranny brace that i could mount the stock chassis to. I then figured how and where to mount the shocks, and then cut off the extra chassis and then came up with what i have.. I think i have a low (cog) But tell me what you think..

That is all the further i got, i'm in the process of making some aluminum skid plates, i'm also making a servo mount for on the axle, and currently still progressing the crawler king..

Thats very unique. I've been reading this forum for about a year now and haven't seen anybody do that to their chassis. I'm still running the stock chassis but I may follow your lead if you have good results.

Last night, i bent some aluminum sheet and bolted in place on the front and rear, To hold my speed control and my rx, my battery will mount above the upper link in the front and below my aluminum sheeting, now the only thing is waiting to weld my servo mount together, and waiting for my 4x4 parts to come in... I will post pics later today..

I couldn't stand how the handmade servo mount looked, it just looked sloppy, so last night i made a new one that looks very professional, and installed my stock hpi shocks on the rear.... I took it out today and drove for a while and what a difference it made with a change of servo and stock shocks in the rear, with 50wt oil in them...

Cool nice to see you doing your own thing and coming up with some great ideas I really dig the chassis. Can I get a close up of it to see what you cut off I might do the same. Keep it coming.

close up of the chassis.

Basically the whole back and the whole front, and that little square part at the bottom to gain some ground clearance..
