How's a 9:00 start? This will allow the long distance drivers to get more crawling in.

Directions - From 530, take the 630 West Exit (it's the only way to go on 630). 630 to 430 North. 430 to Cantrell West (also Hwy. 10). Cantrell to Chenal Parkway (right or North). Chenal turns into Hwy. 300, stay on Hwy. 300 to the town of Natural Steps. In Natural Steps, look for Spillway Road on your left. It's in the curve of the road. Spillway Road until you see us.

From the West - I-40 to 430 South, Cantrell West Exit, then same as above.

Most of you have my celly, call if needed.

Late, Byrd.

I've read every RC car and truck magazine made for 18 years and just late last year found the RCCrawler forum.

I've since been building my first tuber with pede trans, pede shafts, rear dig, moabs.
It ain't pretty but it should work.
It's sorta been TLAR so far. I'm still trying to get the linkages correct for my DIG.

Don't laugh, just remember I told ya'll its not finished yet.
I'm still working on it every night after work.
I just sorta zip tied everything to the inner frame so I could crawl a little
and see if I need to make changes before loc-titing everything down for good.
I still have to add my rear hoop and x-brace and my front bumper hoop.
I waited about them so I could make sure they don't interfere with my articulation.
Just from crawling around a while last night I already know the springs on the shocks are way too stiff, gotta get some softer ones.
Also still gotta make up my mind about what battery pack to get that will mount over and or around the steering servo.
Good news is, the DIG worked great.
Thanks

and see if I need to make changes before loc-titing everything down for good.
Thanks

Ok, a date has to be set and it won't work out for all, but that's impossible.

November 17th, mid morning or earlier, at the new spot in West Little Rock. I'll post up some directions later.

Well ya'll will have to count me out.
Nov. 17th is the opening day of gun season for deer here in MS.
Can't miss opening day man, its against my religion!!!!
I hate I missed getting in with ya'll because of my late start.
I'll keep checking the forum and working on my tuber, maybe by spring I'll be ready for some friendly competition.

I'd like to get in on this ArkLaMiss Club. I'd like to meet all you guys and do some crawlin. It's just the 17th is not a good date b/c I have a high risk pregnant wife who could have this baby at any minute and I don't want to be so far a way and have to hall a$$ home b/c she's in labor. I would like to join the club and keep updated for future GTG's and Comps. I've PMed back and forth with Chip Cross and mississippirocs about things that are going on. I've been going out and trying to find some places around here that's worthy of GTG's so hopefully we can all figure something out. Alright going to go finish up my AX10.

Hey I appreciate that...awfully nice of you.:) I have been to Arkansas many times during college. I'm a Geologist and we used to take class trips up there to various parts to study the rock formations and sh!t like that. It is rather far though and somewhere in the middle of MS might be cool like Vicksburg maybe. Since I'm now back on the Coast I'm looking for places down here but then that would mean a long drive for you guys up there. Well with as many who have responded to this thread we're bound to come up with something!"thumbsup"

Im fairly new to the crawling world, but this sport is awesome. I have built a purpose built trailer for rock crawling. I live in Bono, AR, and I will be unveiling the trailer at the Arkansas oudoor sports show on Feb 2nd. Please check out my web site and tell me what you all think. The structure is built, and we are in the process of adding the waterfall and foamlite concrete. Your input would be much appreciated, for you guys are the face of crawling.

It couldnt make one climb that a real GC-1 could. It wasnt on the comp course so it didnt bother me. Dont let Sacco fool you he says he did good (which he did) but that still doesnt change the fact that the GC-1s owned him all day:lol: The funny part is I didnt even have dig and Gregs kept messing up.

I'm guessin you own a GC-1?If you balance it right,There should be nothing it won't climb,I went out with Austin before the comp and I saw it climb. It out did my BMV and never saw it torque twist

He does and so does Constantmotion(Greg). I saw both of em make climbs they never have before and drive like I have never seen em drive before. The GC-1 is a freaking awesome chassis. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I just couldnt justify $110 plus the revo links required and the shock spacers to get one going while I dont have a JOB.

I saw your build,I have a GC-1 myself and I was wondering if yours worked as well as mine.I saw a CG-1 chassis at your comp and was wondering if yours worked as well as it.I had to have one after Austin and I did some crawling before crawlaplooza.I saw it clomb things no one else could.I know a lot of it is driver but going stright up is all truck. My BMV torque twisted to the point it wouldn't go up when the CG-1 drove by me.I have a R2D with a brushless and its unstopable.

Yeah, the WX-1 could do anything the GC-1's would. SACCO just had a weight distribution issue on the vertical climb. One good advantage of the GC-1 is the chassis width.....it's just tiny.

No doubt if you would have had dig your rig would have done better but other than the one vertical climb off the course you were owned by the wx-1 on the course. That was my FIRST time out with that hodge podge of parts, Your rig was an EXACT copy of the national champs proven performer. "thumbsup"

I still love you man, find my link mounts:-P

And a PTI owned us all on the vertical climb:shock::shock::shock:

Ha Ha you are pretty funny for a guy named Stacey.;-) I have to addmitt the WX-1 did damn well especialy for what it is but you are a pretty good driver as well so that always helps. If I had dig there were quite a few situations I would have done a lot better in but that will be remedied by the time we start keeping score you can rest assured of that.

As for the PTI owning us all on the vertical climb Im sure if we straped 6 sub-c cells to our front ends (that hung in front of the servo at times) we all would have made it with no problems!

Most of the pics were from Jacksonville (the old spot). We can ran off from the new spot because we had surfboards and were having a picnic.

New spot was made of crumbly "rock"....barely touch it and it falls to pieces....kinda hard to have a comp, person before you would either make the line easier or harder.

We go riding in sicilly island all of the time on 4 wheelers. I have never realy seen a good spot for rc crawlers there. I never go on the jeep side but on the atv side there is definitely not any rocks. I will be going there around february so I will check it out then unless i need to go sooner. It is 25 dollars a person per day to get in that place to.

Let me know when you want to go scouting b/c I am always up for some sicily island. I can bring the side by side and we can go scouting.
