This post is for both "stretch" and "Double J""thumbsup". If you check my profile you'll see that i had stretched a WK and named it TC(trail/crawler). Enjoyed it for a while, but desired and upgrade that would enhance the rigs capabilites. Thanks to the kindness of "Double J", I was able to get my hands on his chassis at a reasonable price. With the chassis alone and all my parts from my first build. I decided to give TC an upgrade.
Took all the stock parts from my stretched wheelie king and put it on "Da Bull" chassis http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51442&highlight=Double (http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51442&highlight=Double). As you can see its more a super class than a 2.2. It measures in at 14". If i decide to make new links then it will go back to being a 2.2.

I use the rig for trailin/crawlin. I mounted the WK tranny on its side and used a piece of plastic for the electrics tray.

After reading a post about weighting rigs i decided to make my own batter mount for the side of chassis. I figure it will off set the weight of the motor hanging out of the opposite side and help lower the COB making it less likely to tip over on high inclines. My stock shocks are still flipped with internal limiters (appox 3mm wide), we'll see how it affects my clearnce. Makes for lower COG with out my bottom hanging down.

Don't know how it will do crawlin on its side! For those of you who still have some stock parts..see how i used the old shock/body mounts on the chassis to mount my body. Hope you guys like it.

the battery holder and servo mount look home made to me...

I like the rig.

did you have to get extra long drive shafts? which ones did you use?

Iin the process of designing/building up a new chassis based off a SW3, but was going to be lazy and not shorten the links off my 12.5" WK , and just get longer drive shafts... I also like how you used the stock body mounts. I'm trying to "engineer" a way to do that on my 'in the works' chassis. I take it the chassis is hte same width as stock? Mine will likely end up a bit wider than stock so I'll have to use spacers or something.

Looking really nice so far.
The only thing I think that I personally would do is trim the motor mount are so you don't get it caught/hungup on anything.

The green line is what I'd do.

That purple color doesn't look to bad after all.
