Seems like the best way for those that either just want the axles, or already have a slew of electronics that they can just throw in it themselves. The first timer to RC may still have to buy the RTR kit rather than this one though.

honestly, and I hate to say this because I like the wheely king, but just not that many usable parts. For just under $100 you can get two axial axles, and for just over $100 you can axles and usable tranny. The WK tranny is usable if you mod or make a new motor plate but, then you have to dream up some way to use those shiatty tires and all the other junk.

I'll agree with you in terms of the Axials axles being a somewhat better choice for the money, especially since they will already be locked. With that said, the question was "Is this a better way to go for WK", not which is better...a WK or an Axial."thumbsup"

If this had been out in may when I bought mine, that would have been what I bought instead of the full RTR.
