WK BMVII crawlers

here is a pic of Ali's (my wife) and my crawlers. both are WK units with the BMVII chassis. The colors are exactly opposite each other. Her's is the silver to Blue fade with the orange accents and mine is the silver to orange fade with the blue accents.

How are all the axle upgrades holding up? Can I get a width of the track with those new wheels?

yes the ax is much smoother and a bit more wheel speed

with the stock screws in the RC4WD straight axle adapters on the rear the screws actually bottom out on the axle shafts, you need to use a washer or cut down the screws, or the shafts will scores and cause a break. Other than that Im happy with everything. the track on both is right at 10" to outside of rock claws and 9 3/4" to the outside of the rims

Well that 10'' is good to hear. I think Im going to go ahead and buy some. Along with the nre RC4WD Rock Cruiser tires.

here ya go, the c's are covered to the edge or center of the mounting screw depending on the hex sized used

That look's interesting.I have been away from the w/k forum's for a while,i've never seen anything like that before.It looks like a couple welding rod's for a chassis,very strange>So how's it work?Do you have good flex?Any problem with torque twist?How do you tune the suspension because i don't see any shock's.Sorry for all the questions but that chassis really make's me go hmmmm,tell me about it ,what is some of the thing's you don't like about it?

Finished 35th this year at Nationals with it and should have done better but had the wheelbase adjusted too short, had it down to about 12" instead of 12.5":roll:

Do you have good flex?

about 50* as you can see in the picture, more than enough. Flex is directly related to wheel weight

Any problem with torque twist?

absolutely none, suspended rigs have that issue not a BMVII

How do you tune the suspension because i don't see any shock's.

by adjusting the wheel base and adding or subtracting weight in the wheels

I dont like that I cant get more right now LOL and that would be about it.

We are currently working on a BMVIII version that should be available for spring

Yea don't use steel rod or it will just bend and stay that way as piano wire flexes and dosent hold a bend unless realy tweeked.

its designed to be a crawler, shocks are needed for control at high speeds. if you hit something this chassis would fold up
