| Date Ideas for PARC's Next Comp Series
In the past some of the PARC members have had issues with some dates set for our Comps. Some of us have other interests like Work, Nascar, Motorcycles,Mt. Bikes, or what ever. So here is JUST an Idea for our next Series of Comps. We are posting this now to give some of the PARC members with other interests a chance to check these dates, and give their input on how this schedule fits theirs. PLEASE RESPOND and Thank you. 2009__________ 2010 Sept-13th _____ Jan-17th Sept-27th_____ Jan-31st Oct-11th______ Feb-14th Oct-25th______ Feb-28th Nov-8th_______ Mar-14th Nov-22th______Mar-28th Dec-6th______ Apr-11th Dec-20th_____ Apr-25th We would start Sept 13th and end on Apr 25th Last edited by cars69; 07-01-2009 at 08:02 PM. |

I think to 2 Saturday dates are a nice change from Sundays only. (hope they are on purpose) April 3(day before Easter) and the 17th. If we can decide which day we are going to do the a Casa Grande event I can make sure to reserve the big pavilion for the date.

Sundays as Comp days, but we could talk as a group about that. In the past Sundays worked best for almost everyone. Saturdays are still a work day for a lot of us. -Rick

Rick, All the dates would work but I'll put in my 2 cents worth. If it's worth that much. Since my brains fry fairly easy, I'd drop both Sept dates or at least the 1st one. I'd also drop the Dec 20 date since it's the last weekend before Christmas. That would only leave 5 comps in 2009 but we could pick up extra comp dates in 2010 by starting on Jan 10 and ending on May 2. Every other weekend would leave us 9 comp dates in the 1st half of 2010 for a total of 14 comps. So starting in Oct 2009 the comp dates would be: Oct 4, Oct 18, Nov 1, Nov 15, Dec 6. Starting in Jan 2010 the dates would be: Jan 10, Jan 24, Feb 7, Feb 21, Mar 7, Mar 21, Apr 4, Apr 18 and ending on May 2. If we have 7 comp sites, we could do each one twice. I believe most of these dates would be in reasonably moderate temps which is pretty important in the valley of Big Red! Also you did have 2 dates, Apr 3rd and 17th on a Saturday. Was this intentional or an error. It doesn't make any difference to me but it might to some, since Saturday is a work day for many people. |

I like what art is saying, but I would also like to see some saturdays in the schedual. You can not please everyone all the time people might just have to make some sacrifices. People work on sundays to. I can not wait untill the meeting so we can discuse this topic in person.

| Saturdays
We need to have at least half the comps on saturday to make it fair. I love crawling but I work on sundays. I am sure people from other areas would come down or up to Phx to crawl on saturdays as well. PLEASE keep this in mind

work best for the majority of the members. So far I have heard only three members that favor Saturdays you being one of them. I work Sundays also, but Saturdays would be much harder for me to get off. I think we will find very few of us work Sundays. But this is a subject that needs to be talked about as a group. Thank you for your comments. -Rick Last edited by cars69; 07-14-2009 at 09:13 PM.

| Sats a NO-GO for Mikey
I get like two Saturdays off a year so those are always bad comp dates for me. It's my busiest day at the shop and I need to be there. I closed the shop Sundays so I could comp. Saturday comps have come up before and this will be on the agenda at our first club meeting. As for starting in September, I agree with James the weather will be fine. My Two Cents, Mike |

Well there is no use in getting another rig if I cant go to comps, yea free crawling is fun but where I work and the shift I work i am unable to attend any sunday comps. Until they close our factory late next year. |
