Default 2013-2014 Schedule and other club stuff

With Nationals coming up this weekend it's time to start getting ready for PARCs comp season !!!!! I hope everyone had a great time this summer . Testing and tuning, getting in some practice time . Here's a comp schedule I put together . Five comps a break for New Years and five more plus one Finals .

Sept. 29th
Oct. 20th
Nov. 10th
Dec. 1st
Dec. 22nd ( or the 15th if the 22nd is to close to X-mas )

Happy New Year !!!!

Jan. 12th
Feb. 2nd
Feb. 23rd
Mar. 16th
Apr. 6th

Finals April 27th

That's a comp every three weeks and we're done before it starts heating up again . Locations TBA , I need to check Silent Sundays at South Mnt.

We need to get some officers for the new season . If no one minds I can be president . Jim is taking a break so I'll be doing the scoring this season . Marc has expressed interest in running the new Sportsman class , lots of fun !!! I can do the Supers and 1.9s . Does anyone want to help with the 2.2s ?? This could be a couple of people sharing duties .

We also need to discuss club dues . We can have yearly dues or pay per comp .

Also our club insurance covers any PARC activities like scale runs and G6s , so scale guys can get involved too. The local scale guys are growing more than the comp scene .

Should be a good season ahead . I hope to see all the usual suspects plus some new faces .

Mike

So i'm more or less new to this crawling thing. I would love to help out where I can. Let me know what needs helping besides the officers thing(I don't think a noob should be taking the reins on anything)

Great job Mike !
Thank you for stepping up and filling the presidents position

Now to all the people wanting to participate in PARC.....

It is important we get multiple volunteers
We need everyone to step up and JUDGE
We need participants to help set up courses and tear them down

PARC needs a internet guy to post on CL to recruit more people to our comps....(Nick has done this in the past and would like to see him do it again)

I will be heading the 2.2S class with gates included for the (newbie) and crawlers that want to see how there rigs do..this is classified as a "FUN" class

more info to follow as we decide on dues, amount, and participation !!

Lets make this a GREAT season, and my goal is to INCLUDE everyone with a RC Crawler.....

Thanks Mike, sounds great.

My new Jeep scale rig is about ready to test on the rocks. I still have things I want to do but that will come. I'll post pics soon.

Now I just need to reset my XR and see why it didn't have the speed it should after changing radios.

I'll be there to help out where needed as well. See you all soon on the rocks!

Alright alright, now we're talkin. Way to step up Mike. I will gladly be the internet advertiser again, thats no sweat. Couple of questions. Will there be a PARC meeting this month before the season starts, and will the season be one long season like last year or split up like years past? I personally liked the old way with half the season as a warm up and start the real season after the holidays. You sir can decide Mr. Presidente. Im really looking forward to a fun season.

Also, any new comer judges wanting a lesson on how to judge properly feel free to post up. If there are enough people posting, we will schedule a time and date for a judging 101 class

Depending on drill dates I can come help setup and judge. I might even build a basic comp rig using my wraith axles.

Ohh you say that now. That's exactly what Marc told me before I started building my shafty. Ohh how I was mistaken. LOL But still looking forward to more people to run with.

Scale rigs that are 2.2 tires size
Reason is that anybody wanting to run there scale or any other rig will be running our easier 2.2 sportsmen courses .
BUT ......
If the scaler guys want to set up courses for running then we can accommodate that , BUT ... It's going to require much help on the scalers !

im sure us scale guys would come together to set up a scale course. it would end up a lil long and have some winching required but thats not a big deal.

In all reality there would need to be a seperate course for scalers. You might be able to get through some of the comp courses but the likelyhood of being competitive with the shafties is slim.

Just and idea...
If you wanted to really have a drivers challenge, you could have everyone drive the same rig like an RTR ridgecrest or a spare parts rig from donated stuff. I don't mean everyone have one, I mean like a PARC club rig. That way there would be no tuning or other advantage, straight driver. Do like a $5 entry and have a 50/50 pot. I can't drive and have no interest in building a comp rig but I'd do it for the fun of it if I was at the comp. It would be a way to introduce newbies to crawling and generate some revenue for the club. Like I said, just a thought.
