ASTR Scale Comp #1 Sept 28th New Papago

It is that time again. This is the first scale comp of the 2014-15 season Sept 28th at New Papago Park.

We will be running three classes this season, C1, C2 and C3. If this is your first season with us I strongly suggest that you read up on the SORCCA scale rules here.. 2014 SORRCA Scale rules
We will not turn anyone away who wants to run but it is suggested that you read up on the classes and do your best to get your vehicle in spec for it's appropriate class whichever that may be.

The comp will start promptly at 8am so please please please arrive early.
I will be at the comp location by 6:30am to begin setting up courses. If you are able to help it would be greatly appreciated.
We will also be in need of several judges for the event so again if you are able show up early.

A quick breakdown of the classes:

Class Descriptions:
Class-1 “Street"
• Description - A street legal off-road vehicle that you would drive to work or the trail head and outfit like an expedition vehicle such as the Camel Trophy truck D90 rigs.

Class-2 “Trail”
• Description - A stock vehicle that has been modified to become a capable trail rated rig and is not necessarily street legal.

Class-3 “Modified”
• Description - An off-road vehicle that you would build from the ground up and might see in a TTC/KOH type competition.

Brian and Kevin, I will try to be there as early as getting a toddler up and going so the wife can take over. I will judge and or help set up courses as well.

I'll be there w/ the hummer. I'll be early to help setup and I'll judge c1 and if needed c2. Just hope I don't break the hummer again. Waiting for parts from Hong Kong sucks. At least I found a parts truck.

We'll have to see how things look in the AM.
I will be heading out to the comp spot at 6:30 regardless to see what the weather is doing out there and will post up when I arrive.

Otherwise I'll see those brave enough to head out in the AM unless it's just poring down rain.

yeah, I didn't get very many. sorry. I was never a photo guy. I like doing videos, but lack the camera. i get bored with photo taking real easy.

should have videoed my rigs,
they were always falling off those damn cliffs.
so much so that the stinger braces on the wraith broke
(alumn repl on way).
and the scx10 frame bent in front of shock mounts. (Armstrong repair)
will be good to go for next event
