Trying to get some additional steering for my scx...apparently this has been brought up? So many options! I think I like the mod Harley showed with the beef tubes and wraith c's, but I'm not sure about my capabilities to tap and drill.

This brings me to my question, overdrive/under drive. I know this improves crawling, will regular trail running suffer? Lastly, it seemels everyone is sold out. Any places locally? TCS shows out of stock (I'm on the west side). Thoughts/opinions appreciated.

I used the RC Bros tubes for my XR mod and they are pretty straight forward. You really only need to drill and tap two holes on each tube/axle.
On long trail runs and G6 type stuff the U/O may have some adverse effects. Not really in the driving but more in shorter run times and some extra wear and tear, maybe some heat build up as well. I have used overdrive only on rigs in the past and that seems to work just fine on long runs and G6s. Finding stock on those can be tricky some times. Last time in National they had some, but that was weeks ago. Sometimes Ebay or amazon will turn up some odd suppliers as well.

Great advice from Harley on Overdrive / Underdrive. Works on all rigs, not just the Deadbolt.
