Default Just bought some crawlers.

So today I ordered my first two crawlers.
I bought the scx10 tr and the redcat rs-10.
I wont be able to get any upgrades other than some soft compound rovers for the rs10.
But It wont be to long before I start beefing up my scx10 and get it some rok lox and some aluminum links.

for sure, cant wait to start modding this tihng. Gotta wait for funds. But it will be interesting to see the rs10 vs everyones 2.2 at GTG's when I get some of the bugs worked out.
Current plans proper 4-link, I have Rover(white) Star memory foams. and stretch and lower the CoG.

Be a good chance to see what the RS10 will do.

Your memory foams won't be to good in this cold weather. I have a ton of the stock rover foam if you 4 of them. They work pretty darn good and are open cell foam, not memory. Just pay the shipping and i'll send ya a set. Shouldn't be too much since we are in the same state.

Thanks for the offer, but I also have the stock set of foams, I just bought these because they were $20 for a set of 4 with shipping. I read that that was a good design. I guess Ill bring the rs10 to the next G2g to let people see what it can do. It might be complete crap, or might surprise we shall see.
Ill run the soft onrs for now, your the second person who has told me. Would I benifit from getting the Nova Ark 2.2 dual foams? The truck is Stock weight with 7.2V 6 C cell is 4.75 lbs. And im adding about 1 lb in stick on weights.

Nova's foams are working very well in my MOAs and I put a set in my son's shafty and it made it come alive. we went crawling a couple of days ago and the shafty was pulling some crazy lines that it has never did before. I cut about a 3/8 of a inch off the stiff foam for the front tires and left the back ones stock.

Ditto, I have been running Eddie's foams for a few months now. Top Notch foam.

this scx10tr is hella fun, been playing with it all afternoon. Surprised to see how long the run times are. Off of a Venom 3600 7.4v 6cell I got around 2 hours. But I can tell this thing might get expensive quick. I have to run to hobbytown tonight to find a drive shaft set for the rear. Still waiting for the scx10.

Got the RS10 in today, Spent about 2 and a half hours switching the tires out for the rovers and adding a good ammount of wheel weights. First time messing with beadlocks and the only tool I had was a 1.5mm L allen wrench I got from fuller hardware for 43 cents. If anyone has a spare 1.5mm driver I would be glad to purchase it from you. (My hands are so sore. I couldnt find them at any store and axial sells one but its $17. If there is somewhere that sells them cheap please let me know.) The RS10 is pretty neat. Has some drawbacks but with a few mods it will be pretty sweet. Right out of the box I got 90 degree articulation in the front. I'm not supposed to have my crawler yet according to my G/F so its in the box and I have to wait till christmas. So Pic will be comming soon.
Got my friend addicted also.
