Default Natural Dam, AR (NW AR) possible crawl spot?

Natural Dam, Arkansas
16 miles North of Van Buren, AR on HWY 59. In a national forest with a big parking lot and bathrooms. Corner store 1/4 mile from the spot.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&so...ed=0CAoQ8gEwAA

This is a local swimming hole during the hot summer months. Probably want to have get togethers during the colder months so we are not there with 50 other people swimming and what not.

Mix of semi-slick older shale rock and some sandston-ish rock. Traction was good. Good uphills with ledges and some bigger spread out rocks.
There are 3 areas that 3-4 courses could easily be setup on.

Let me know what ya'll think.

It is. It's one of the first settlements in Crawford County, Arkansas due to the water being pooled up there. Used to be a mill there that ran off the running water. The rock on the top side of the dam is solid slab that goes into the water.

bringin' up some old memories. i would have to rack my brain to find silver bridge again. used to go up there alot too. I bet i could remember when i got to the area.

I wont be able to check it til probably when we comp at natural dam. no plans to go back up VB til then.
someone local might want to check it out. If i roll back to VB before then i will go scout it out.

Wait....
There is a SilverBridge on the Mulberry River close to Mulberry, AR. That is the silverbridge I remember. I dont remember there being a ton of rocks there. but there might be. Used to wade fish it alot.
http://bridgehunter.com/ar/franklin/mulberry-67/

There was a big bridge on HWY 220 going towards Uniontown, AR. We called it "Reader Fjord" . Kinda Southwest of the Natural Dam area. Probably not it though. Plus the bridge was red.

There is the SilverBridge on HWY 282 just South of Mountainburg, AR. Just off 540? That the one you talkin' about? I think that is the right "SilverBridge". That one is 30-40 mins from Natural Dam. Damn it I was just there on Saturday, looking around the Lake Fort Smith Area. Drove right over that bridge, probably.
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie...EobyzATyycy0Bw

Ok, that is all the silverbridges i can remember right now.

Me and dieseldorfus(dieseltruckin2001):-P can go scout some of those areas when we get a chance. I work in mountainburg alot, I'll keep an eye out. Natural dam looks like a great spot! Where the scalers at? I suck at rock crawling.

Don't be jealous of the diesel there grant, LOL!!! So how did I get volunteered for this? J/k Yea, I'd be up for doin a little scouting. I go trail riding up that way in the summer too, I'll keep an eye out for some other good spots that are relatively easy to access too.

Let me google map it. It use to be called silver bridge, now it is a concrete bridge, haha. They resurfaced it a couple of years ago.
The silver bridge over the mulberry isn't the one I am referring to (jumped off that one many times)
<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=35.701307,-94.326618&amp;spn=0.008852,0.019205&amp;t=h&amp;z= 16&amp;output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=35.701307,-94.326618&amp;spn=0.008852,0.019205&amp;t=h&amp;z= 16&amp;source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small>
This is it, 220 outside cedarville off of 59 north.
Oops, guess I am an idiot on the linking to google maps??????

I think I know the place you are talking about. If it is the same, it's where we go trail riding a lot. The concrete bridge is more of a glorified low water crossing. There is a pretty good swimmin hole on the right about a half mile before the road turns to dirt. Does this ring a bell?

Don't think so, the old silver bridge is a brand new concrete bridge. To the right of the bridge is a huge rock that you can drive out onto and overlook a pretty good sized swimming hole. Bout a 50 drop that people jump off of. This bridge is also on the back way to Devil's den state park.

been trying to figure out where this is.......

I've been using google maps. Is is where 220 crosses Lee Creek? Up near Devils Den? Looks like a swimming hole, and there could be a rock outcropping there. Can't tell for sure, the satellite photo resolution is pretty low.
