Yep will do mate. You bringing Tysons rig with you? We will have a quick working bee on it to get it running when we get there. I am bringing along a spare radio set and my soldering gear to get him up and running again.
Let me know if there is anything else his truck needs to get mobile and i will bring it along with me too.

I will bring along the Revo rod ends for you too mate if you still want them. I think Shaun wants 1 pack and i still have 2 packs left.

Cheers

So Northkona and I managed to squeeze in a quick (2hrs) night trail on Saturday night. It was my first night run and I'm hooked!
We headed up to a place the local mountain bike groups call Marino's. Its in between Reservoir Rd and Ramsey Dr. Where the water tanks are.
We had a great time, starting our run from in front of one of the water tanks then trailing up along the ridge to the top of the hill. Then down to the top of the old quarry. We did a little bit of trailing along the embankments that lead down to the quarry before heading back to the top of the hill and then down through where the mountain bike jumps are, finishing up back at our car.
In the vid there is a photo of a bird eating spider that was just emerging from its burrow. Very cool! Needless to say I was very jumpy for the rest of the evening freaking out when ever a branch brushd across my legs or some thing rustled in the leaves. Lots of giggles etc. You get the picture!
I'v put together a short vid of the useable footage from the night, enjoy.

Hey guy's, I'm just new to the page and I'm running a SCX10, hoping to meet up with you guy's at some point for a crawl.
We are heading up the Earl hill walking track at Trinity Park on Saturday morning if anyone is interested in coming along or if anyone is keen and knows of another track in the Gordonvale, cairns to mareeba area we can take we would be interested in coming along.

Wellcome aboard budy!
Not sure if Northkona or Darcy351 have contacted you yet but there are quite a few spots on the north side of Cairns for trailing, Barron Gorge area where Northkona and my self go on a regular basis. Out behind the JCU there are a couple of areas and in around Freshwarter. If you hook up with Darcy351 he is based in Mareeba and knows of quite a few good spots up there, Speewah and Davies Creek to name a couple. Another good one is out at Granite Gorge, this is a great one to take the family and spend the night.
There is not a lot on the south side of Cairns (Gordenvale) except for the pyramid. This is pritty much a 2.2 trail (Wraith based rigs) with lots of winching.

I'm away until the 3rd but look forward to catching up with ya in the very near future S.

Great trip up Earl Hill yesterday , really technical first bit with rough stairs , some "B" lines need to be made around some spots to make it all driveable.
There is a good mix of rock , bare earth and roots to make it a fun trail.
The only mechanical we had were 2 CV pins on my Rubi , I think I need to back off my end points cos the steering from my new VP 8deg chubs is stressing them out.
This is a trail that would be a great night run, I'll be back for sure.

Love the Shorty 40 , Its a body I've always wanted to do.

Thanks Steve x2 for a good trail run

Was a good run. That track has a bit of everything and has a lot of potential. Will definitely be back there for a few more runs in the future. Need some more practice before the FNQ G6! Lol. Might even bring along a transmitter this time!

I still reckon one of those old school controllers with the wires going to your rig would be better , really useful for recoveries too !
