Yeh, I know. Another damn Ax. MM, 55t Integy HW, M8, spektrum, 3000 rx, 5955 servo alum C's, knucks, straight adapt, stnls axles all button head where poss losi, weights, vented & my whl hex mod inverted alum shocks with internal tubing 12t pinion & 90 spur axle mnt'd split 8s mostly home brew stage 2 2 shade flake on hpi baja My 1st crawler build. I lost the top plate and fabbed a lower plate so as to get to the bind button, wiring and usb without having to tear anything down. The plate tilts forward to remove the trans or motor if needed. I live in no-mans land, and no comps are anticipated, so this is the route I went. I cut spacers to move the shocks forward and cut a rod for the rear OEM bod mnt to tie the frame together. Now it sits as I don't do snow or 20 deg temps .. lol. Take a look and be gentle on me. Also, thanx to all the great vendors on this site. |

Great looking - great minds think alike - it looks just like mine except for the color - I did metal flake black & silver. Your plate for the rcr/esc is just like the one I made - it works great.

I run my losi's in reverse in comps, they seem to hook just abit better. In fact alot guys run their mashers backwards because instead of "pushing" the traction outwards and off the tire, you "pull" traction to the center and "capture" the traction on the center where the "v" meets in the center of the tire!! | It's made out of .064 alum with 2 tabs bent down and drilled. It mnts to the front OEM body post holes in the frame. The rear sits on a small piece of foam servo type pad on the top of the trans. After I got done, I painted it satin black. The plate will tilt up to the front to pull the motor and trans if needed. Or remove 2 screws, unplug the batt, servo lead & motor and the whole works comes out as a unit.

I hate it when someone elses rig makes mine look as shameful as it is! Nice work, great attention to detail, and a very well thought out design. Now- go get some mud and scratches on that damn thing! One thing to look out for- I went with the bent links in the front as well- guaranteed the first 2' drop onto the fronts is going to bend at least one of those rods. They are easy to bend back, but so far the four times I've had mine out I've bent my front left. FWIW |
