Axial just keeps improving the AX-10, reminds me of the RC-10 a truly evolutionary chassis. Makes me wonder where this kit will be in a couple of years. Still driving my TLT stuff and waiting.

While they're at it, they should look into extending the end that goes into the locker.

So when do we get to test some out?
Love to get these on my axial. The front end of mine kinda has probs.
Cant get full lock due to the stub axle cup hitting on the axle when turned hard.
So bring on the new goodies.
When they gonna be available to public?

JUSTGOINGSLOW 01-17-2008 09:02 AM

Those will diffinitly help out with the front end on the ax-10 "thumbsup"

4stAir 01-17-2008 09:39 AM

on that note can i make another suggestion to the axial guys....
we are breaking the lockers on our comp trucks.

i would love to see a hex or splines similiar to a tlt or clod to engage the locker to the shafts. two pressure points with steel to alloy contact creates a very high wear rate and that is where most of the slop in these axels come from.

keep up the good work guys. you are the best thing to happen to crawling so far.
thanks keith
scale speed

if you grind down the axle cup a bit, that will help out with steering;)

madjack 01-17-2008 03:55 PM

has a release date been posted yet :?:

I faced .062 off in the lathe and with RCP max clearance knuckles it has a crazy amount of steering. "thumbsup"

renoirbud 01-17-2008 06:01 PM

what surface did you machine off?

Rocksmith Eng. 01-17-2008 07:00 PM

He faced off the inside bevel of the stub shaft. What I was planning on doing as well. I have RCP C's and knuckles coming so it looks like its gonna be a must do mod.

Correct. But if the axles engaged the spool as far as they could go, there would be a lot more contact area. More contact area = less slop, less premature wear.

Rock Logic 01-17-2008 07:13 PM
