Link clearance

I've mounted my lower links inboard for more clearance (they look better, too!) and, like everyone else, had to move the mounting point at the axle inboard so that they would clear the chassis. Is there any reason I can't bend the links near the chassis or the shocks out some to provide more clearance? I'm wondering if better triangulation would help the axle locate better and possibly improve the torque twist problems the stock setup has. Do you guys see clearancing the chassis as a viable alternative?

did you get a new skid plate or did you cut yours? i moved mine inboard at the axle but am still mounted outside the chassis (I did it to stop the inside of the tires rubbing on the links at full turn).

i would guess that clearencing the chassis would totally help with getting a better triangle at the lowers.

I cut my current skid plate.

I and most others have moved the axle end of the link inboard - I put one of the 1/4" spacers between the link and the most inboard flange on the axle moving it more inboard - works great - very smooth articulation. So from the outside it is flange-shock-spacer-flange-spacer-link. You will need to find a long screw or use 2 shorter ones - I used the one that came with the CKRC level 2 upgrade

I've seen it set up that way in lots of builds, but wasn't sure if mounting the link more outboard would work even better.
