Rotational slop

Has anyone tried to do anything about the rotational slop in the lockers, you know how you can turn a wheel by hand and get like 60* of rotation before it stops?
I guess about the best thing to do would be turn some new lockers out of steel, and tighten up the tolerances between the dog bone(axle), and the slot in the locker where it mates to?

Any ideas???

Eee Pee had that kind of slack, just before it stripped. Change the locker.

Not completely sure but, making that out of steel might not be a good thing. All that stress has to give somewhere. If you made the locker out of steel I would think that you might end up spinning dog bones.

I cannot speak to the quality of the steel used in the stock axial dog bones. Maybe someone has had more experience?

I seen on here somewhere where they drilled and tapped the locker on each side and put grub screws in to tighten up the slop.

You'll also get slop in the gear mesh and at the dog bone, stub joint. CVD's/Straight axles and shims might help that.
