Stage 2 + narrowed chassis..does it work?

I have read the build thread for the stage 2 build..

I have read the threads about narrowing the chassis, narrow skid, triangulated links...

My question is, if utilizing the longer upper links in the stage 2 kit and placing the chassis attachments further back on chassis, can you still narrow the skid plate?

It would seem (if i remember my geometry correctly) that as you lengthen the upper links, the points of attachment on the chassis will be wider as well.. so has anyone done both of these mods? How did the upper link chassis attachment work out..
thanks for the info

it will work good if you triangleate the lowers and run the uppers straight.

Shrek thanks for responding.. it was reading your thread that got me thinking about this...
so you are saying to run the upper links "straight" as in the distance between chassis connections and axle connections of the upper links are equal distant apart? Even placed in the modified location on the stage 2 build?
Not the "double triangulated" design/layout i have seen?
Does that make it a 4 link setup rather than 3? And how does it connect to axle?

yeah run the top links straight like a gc-1. you will have to make a wider servo plate to mount your upper links to, hope this helps.;-)
