Default building axels

I am building my new scorpion axles and the housing appears to not sit flush unless I put on the c-hubs. Is this normal? I have check the seating on the diff and the bearings and they are all flush. I just don't want it to bind up.

You mean the ends of the axles where the smaller bearings reside are bowed outwards? If so, my AX-10 kit was the same way. The aluminum C's I installed compressed the axle ends. As long as the axle rotates very smoothly after assembly, you should be good to go. If you notice any bindings, clicking, or ratcheting feel, check your pinion depth. They should be very smooth.

Thats normal that the ends will be sprung out a little bit till you put you c's on.
