| finally got to run the edge outside...
hello all. i finally got off my tail and charged up the packs and headed off to the woods to test out the ax10. all i can say is wow... this thing is great. a little loose traction with the snow but all and all this thing performs very well. the big bores really keeps it low. this is right down the street from my house in Hudson, NH. on with the pics. |

the log couldn't have been more perfect. the approach to the log was sweet, the failed attempt to the top was sweet (very slick from mildew and it was damp), and the exit off the log was very challenging.

there is a log like that where i started crawling last month. It is rotted out in the same manner as that one. I dont think the tires are make for gripping wood, but I wipped the top with a rag and a little tiny bit of bleach. The mildew went away and if it hasnt rained in a few days the log is very dry and less 'slippy'. I have only been able to find one line on the way down, but i am sure of another with a more capable rig/driver. nice pics, thanks for shareing |

i do have wheel wideners on my rig and i think if i went to the standard hexes i would have had a better chance on some parts. with the wideners on my truck the tires were perfectly planted on the outer edges of the log.

well, i really have a blast on the one here. Very challenging. I will take some pics of it when i go back out this week. It makes it a little challenging when you only have about an inch of steer either way and if one wheel slips a little you will end up sidaways eventually. . . and then the only way is over the side. I have a blast with it. I thought about moving it to some taller rocks, but i am concerned that it is too brittle and i am pretty sure it would break if i even tried to move it. it seems like a great place to crawl. close to home too! |

i'm sure it's quite heavy too being out in the weather... i know how the 1" of steer space goes. i was right on each edge on this log. thank you mother nature for leaving the log behind to enjoy...
