I am having trouble getting the collar to reengage 4 wheel. There is a bit of space around the male shafts that allows it to wobble a tiny bit but I don't thik that's the prob. I think it has something to do with the way I am cutting my drive shafts. I thought about cutting out the smaller grooves in the male shafts to the same width as the larger ones, but there would be only really be 2 points of contact instead of four. I tapered them and flared out all the grooves to help engage ( right?), but I think the thick grooves on the male keep catching on the thin female grooves. How do i go about fixing this? Limited time to search, but I can't find any pics of the ends of the shafts. |

I heard people do exactly as you suggested, cut out the smaller grooves so that shaft can engage every 90 degrees instead of 180.

Just make sure all 4 slots are the same on the male shaft. |
