| The Wife's Build Well I have finally received all the parts to start my Wife's build. We are going to do something a little different with this one. For starters we are going to Cram a locked Pede tranny into my old stock AX-10 chassis, then the wife (since this is her build) is going to build a pair of AX-10 axles...This just for starters! Just a couple parts pics for starters, but should have more build pics up this weekend. |

why the Pede tranny? the axial one is alot stronger unless your going to be using the gears from the stampede/rustler vxl. |

Bring your wife to our next comp. You can both drive the same rig until hers is finished. She can help you put a few scratches on that new body. LOL! Rick- |

| Well the Wife just about got her build complete on Saturday. She still needs to install electrics and finish her wheels, but everything else is done for the most part. I did have to make a plate to fasten the body posts to for the D90 body she will be using, but she insisted on doing most everything else herself sinse this is her build. Here she is building her axles. She is finishing up her locked Pede tranny which she installed all metal gear, new bearings and a spur adaptor. She is intalling her shocks...Looks like we forgot to get a shot of her installing the lower links to the axles and chassis. Got a shot of her installing the uppers atleast! Here's a couple shots of her truck almost complete. Just needs electrics and a couple finishing touches. Here's a shot of her wheels and I'm thinking the reason she wanted to build this truck in the first place. A shot of the plate I had to make to mount the body. I dont know if you could do this or not but flip the battery trays around so there facing backwards and build a little plate to extend out and to where you need it so the weight up high is very minumal then build some electronics trays down low!!! |

Thanks for all the ideas. I did a little trimming to the plate this afternoon, but can't take too much off because it is made from aluminum plate that I got at Ace Hardware so it is a little too soft to cut up too much. It is also a lot lighter than it looks. |

Heres the link to the body she is going to be running. I purchased the body during the auction for Zach a while back and wasn't sure how we were going to use it until my Wife said she wanted to build a truck using the body. I should have pictures of the completed project in a day or so. Zach's Auction Defender 90 body |
