hpi i think has already started producing a wheelie king with most of the basic crawler stuff put on. they havent released it yet but i have heard some rumors. if nothing else the new rtr scorpion is a good rtr platform to start building on. i wish they would sell it under a different name because of the plastic links and it is set up a little different. i would like the "cheaper" version to have a different name so people can easily differentiate between the two.

I like the fact it is an RTR although it does take out all the fun of building and getting to know your truck. I really like the rear straight axle I might buy one or two of those and the new rims look pretty sweet. But I really dont like the links or the new body.

This thing looks nothing like the real AX10. Plastic Links? Yikes. I agree they should of looked at giving it a different name. None the less, It was a smart move for Axial to move into the RTR market, and give the WK a run for it's money!

With a 27t motor I wonder how well it jumps because you know it wont crawl all that well. Its more competion for the WK than anything else. I actually applaud Axial for trying to branch out, they just maybe shouldnt have put "rock" in the name.

ever heard of a rock racer plastic links will keep the cost down and help with breakage a little they should take a little more stress for the speed runs. whereas alum. would transfer the stress more and break stuff. I saw tower's price was almost 3 bills it needs to be around 230 range to sell

I'm still buying the kit. Actually I'm buying it in about an hour. I'll be running a 27T motor for most of my bashing. By the time you decide you like the RTR and want to start building it, you may as well of just bought the kit to begin with. Buy once, cry once. BUT... I do think its awesome for the masses. I don't think I would hand most 10yr olds a kit and say have at it. And I think thats what its aimed towards and they did a good job. |

I like it, a lot. Now, I'd never ever get another RTR. I love building and customizing, and RTRs don't give me that. Its why I like crawling. Like someone said, this isn't a true RTR crawler, more like a desert truck or rock racer w/ a few crawling components like locked diffs, beadlocks, etc. The motor is a 27t anyways. Its not like they're taking a comp ready tuber equiped with droop set up and all the goodies with a lathe motor and putting it in the box, some work still must be done on the users part to make its a true rock crawler. It looks kinda cool to me, but I'd still never get it. Its not like they took an AX10 kit and slapped in a lathe, high torque servo, and radio, its a slightly different truck thats more budget friendly so that the people who get it don't get turned off by the fact the top speed is 5mph |

I'm thinking about getting one of these, but the question is, will the X-Trail chassis work with it?

I believe the chassis is exactly the same so I can't see why not.

I think it's great. Other than that fuglyass body! I looks like a original Tmaxx and some sort of Parma thing procreated. It's gross.
