| Its the new trend. It did really well at the comp this past weekend. Especially since he didn't get any testing time. Last edited by Rockcrawler; 02-27-2008 at 03:10 PM. |

| Thanks Sheldon! I figured the only way to beat the National Champ in our local comps was to run one of his trucks! :-P My stategy didn't work last weekend, but my rig was thrown together the night before the comp with no practice time whatsoever. The shocks are aluminum Traxxas pieces. I milled the "eyes" off the caps and tapped them 3mm for Traxxas rod ends. I fixed these up for my wife's Ax-10 and needed the balljoint at both ends to keep the shocks from binding, had 'em mounted at a funky angle. They give me more clearance on the GC1 being a little longer now than standard Traxxas shocks. |

Looks like a great set up, but something about it looks vaguely familiar?:-P |

| Wheelbase is 12.5". I was running some old proline foams in the first pics. I had cut the O.D. down ~.5". The tires were way too soft like this. Now I'm running full stock Axial foams. Haha! Sorry Dez! I had an unused Betty body here and after seeing yours all trimmed up..... I had to do it! It was 13* outside the day I painted mine and it turned out looking bad. I just won another on Ebay. Thinking about painting it solid white. Of course with the "Dez-trim"! I love this set-up! The only thing I think I could do right now to make it work better is mill out some high-clearance links. That might be my project for next week. Here's how it performed at Saturday's MidTennRC comp... MidTennRC |

It's all good man, just bustin your balls, wasn't a fan of the Betty bod until I took an X-acto to it. Makes a great comp body now, they're cheap, and easy to come by as well! Looks like your rig is working pretty well! |

| Thanks guys! I love the strength and dependability of the Axial axles! Paired with the proven GC-1 chassis, this is a hard combo to beat! Now if I can find a more dependable driver that doesn't choke in the finals, we should see this thing in the winners circle at every comp! |

| Cory, I updated to some modern day electronics! Castle Sidewinder, Castle BEC, and MaxxAmps 1550mah 3c lipo. Dovetailed my old Betty body this morning. Got a new one to paint... hopefully it'll turn out better since it won't be below freezing when I paint the new one. |
