Default Review: CKRC aluminum hubs

So the other day I snaped one of my stock hubs where the steering linkages hook up to them when comming off of an obstical. I didn't think it was a far drop at all, maybe 3 to 4 inches and the plastic hub snapped.

So of course I'm looking to upgrade to aluminum.

I go on CKRC's website, find the hubs, and buy them at a reasonable price (about $25 shipped).

CKRC had excellent customer service. They e-mailed me my receipt, then e-mailed me on Monday with shipping info. I got the parts last Thursday and installed them over the weekend.

The hubs are beautifully machined out of aluminum and then anodized black. The bearings slide right into place, and those little metal "Bushings" the hub mounting screws go through on the top and bottom fit without an issue. I could swear Axial designed these hubs themselves.

Once I installed these parts I was amazed at how stock they look. On a glance it appears I have done nothing special to my axles. The only way you can tell is by taking a really close look.

Also, if you shine a light on the axle, the dull plastic looks different than the black anodizing. Thats really the only way an untrained eye can see I have special parts on there.

The steering linkage mounting holes are threaded, but I still put the locknuts underneith them.

I am truely impressed by these hubs and I will buy fromCKRC in the future. Thanks for the great customer service and excellent parts.

I can post pics tonight if you are interested in seeing these hubs installed.

Even if that is the case, I would still buy them from CKRC because they are less expensive than I could find the Hot Racing hubs for.

Alright, A LOT of companies sell other peoples renamed designs, but lets keep this on topic.

I bought them from CKRC and I love them.
